I used to have this issue. But for some reason when I sync to a new laptop, or even new iTunes program, it updates that one with my iPod and my playlist returns..

Totally. I have a fair few sneaky recordings from the show in the opening week, some great rare moments but I honestly think I'll have to share them with select people because of the people that download and reupload without credit. It is just a bit annoying really!

That "stealing" of recordings without even giving a credit annoys me a lot too...

Although that's not even the worst thing...

 

I'm positive about some of my world tour bootlegs being re-uploaded somewhere else without giving a credit which is disappointing enough...

But what's much worse, they're being sold so some bloody pimps can make money out of it!

That's sooo sick!!

 

And than, I was told, apparently by a professional sound engineer, that my bootleg from the opening night was the best of all that he has heard, at least of all that has been posted here. That bootleg hasn't been shared on here but I gave him a possibility to listen to it after he showed interest.

 

He promised to pump up the quality by professional remastering if I would share with him the original .wav file.

 

He is (was?) a member here , he contacted me via forum and promised me he'll do it and I said that I'll be happy to upload his remastered work on the forum with credits going both: to him for the remastering and to myself for the recording.

 

Unfortunately ever since I've sent him the raw file, I've never heard from him again!!!! :evil:

 

That made me very furious and I honestly lost interest in sharing my bootlegs here for the time being...

 

I know it's not the admins or the forum fault so on the other hand I feel quite uncomfortable with this decision as I also still have some stuff that would be interesting for the other fans and will surely be taping again if I ever get to see Céline live again!

 

Anyway, if anyone have seen or will see a live recording of the new show being sold on eBay or elsewhere, be it marked as opening night or not, I'd appreciate if you'll let me know via PM!

 

I'm not that much on eBay etc. for the past few years so I'm surely not noticing every scam that's going on over there...

I did PM Koolan already, I did it after like 2 months have passed without no message from that member.

I first gave him some time, because I know that we all have our jobs and lives outside the forum and apart from Céline etc.

But two months would have really been enough to do the remastering.

I know this person has been visiting the forum ever since so it was not like he was too busy or such.

 

I gave Koolan his info and Koolan promised to contact him about it.

But I can imagine that even if Koolan did so, there was not much that he could do about it, sadly.

The only thing he could do would be ban the person but without a proof that's probably not possible, no idea.

I know that user is still on here and he even has been on the forum last night so...

 

Who knows what other things are being misused and abused here...

I don't know; to me, witholding material doesn't make sense just because of the chance other people might take credit. I don't think it's worth it. Let's face it, Celine is the artist here, it's her material, so ultimately she's the one who should get full credit for creating the material. I'm sure we all very much appreciate the shared material, though I feel that "teasing" us that some people have rare material they aren't going to share isn't quite fair. If people want to make these recordings and then keep them for themselves, I guess that's their decision, but to let us know it exists but it won't be shared does nothing but make us feel bad. I've shared my recorded material and I couldn't care less who gets credit for it. Maybe that's just me. I'd rather everyone have the pleasure of hearing Celine.

 

 

 

**Actually now that I think about it, maybe the biggest issue is spending the time splitting tracks and cleaning it up and such to not get credit. That would be frustrating, so I understand that part. Maybe a compromise is just sharing the file and letting us do the work to split it up and such however we want to?
