abadi Posted February 18, 2011 at 12:48 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 12:48 AM I am really excited for the show. Really, I cannot wait :D I don't know but Celine looks way too ooooooooooold for her age. I know that somebody may say that she is tired and things but I am not sure if those wrinkles have something to do with being tired. Quote

sfbaysinger Posted February 18, 2011 at 12:59 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 12:59 AM I spent the entire day in a bubble in my head before the taping thinking it wasn't possibly real that this was happening, that's how I spent the day of my first Celine concert, tooand when it was over, I got about an hour away (I live in the burbs of Chicago but was heading back to the north side of the city to my friend's apartment) - I was waiting for a transfer from the eL train to a bus, and I was telling my friend who'd been with me at the show that the entire event felt like a gift from above, that I did nothing to deserve all of thiswow, how moving, what a feeling but then again you have done so much and it sounds like you have overcome so much/come so far, just the fact that you love her is a good start but I recognize that awed higher power feeling and wanted to bring someone on the trip to Vegas who would appreciate it even half as much as I do. Then out of nowhere, we were under an awning in front of a pizza shop, a speaker started softly playing the MIDDLE of Lets Talk About Love. There was no music before that, none after, just about 30 seconds of the song! I looked alarmed and shocked and said where is that coming from?! Who is doing this?! I don't understand?! And I started to cry. It made no sense and felt like I was literally dreaming. I guess I don't understand it. Wow, Molly, how absolutely stirring and moving an experienceI was one of the people invited to this Oprah show after so many years of waiting to see Celine again and hoped that if I could go, it would help ease my sadness that I can't afford Vegas at all right now..Well now you can! Yay you!! Now everything has happened for me and it's still hard to believe it's true. Understandable, definitely.Celine was exhausted but I don't think she was disconnected. I think she feels that she doesn't have any more to prove,in a way I agree but in another I still want to see her fight that I know she still has in her, but there is a difference in doing something for her vs. for us and I think she has both reasons in herand her energy during breaks goofing off to the audience was classic Celine quirk and I LOVED IT.Awesome!! I as well cried during Lullaby...Awwwwww!!! It's okay.thought her voice was more exquisite sounding than ever before,is that possible, of course it is, good for her she's gonna be so amazing in Vegas and really felt strong emotions when she talked about adapting the song to a parent-child sentiment. As I posted earlier, I lost my mom a few years ago and this song cut right to be bone.(heart) Because of where I was seated, behind Rene and in front of Oprah (slightly to the left of them) - I'm kind of nervous to be seen crying like that on TV...I'm sure you weren't the only onelike I'm gonna hear in a few months when I run into some random person "I saw you crying on Oprah! Still a Celine fan, then, Molly?" hahaha. As for my seat... the pump-it-up audience supervisor stopped me on my way to find my seats with my friend and asked if we were a party of two and said she'd be splitting us up - So she asked who the big Celine fan was and I said I was, and then she pointed me to my seat, which was basically directly behind Rene's and one seat over to the left. Then my friend was seated at the end of the third row beside CheerfulJane- So she was close enough that I was able to tip back my head and turn and still communicate with her.Cool!! My friend said Celine grabbed and squeezed her hand and smiled on her way out... which made my day!!!! (Awwwwww, neat!!On top of everything else, of course!) i I still don't know why I was selected for that seat. My view was perfection, and I think it was a matter of luck that the woman had to fill that seat with a fan because there were twins to my right, and the woman to my left was african american, and I am VERY pale. So they picked someone to complete "the shot" when they shoot Rene. I wore very bright colors - kelly green and yellow. I had every opportunity to talk to Rene but I chose not to. I gave him a bouquet of two dozen roses in NYC in 99 and involuntarily gave him a hug and touched his head. I figured best to let him be and not end up saying something bizarre. maybe he remembered you if he saw you The twin blonde women sitting beside him were gushing over him and he barely answered them. They were weird, too! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet any more of you! I was # 267 or something because they cornered off a bunch of people in line on the way in to let the previous shows audience leave. So I had to wait a long time to enter, and I basically made peace with knowing I'd likely sit near the back. When I saw the seats on set, I was fine to sit wherever and was actually looking at the seats in the back when we were seated where we were. The whole thing is an entire dream come true. I would have posted my details last night but everyone else who went did such a complete job! I, too, waited for Celine afterwards but didn't feel comfortable lunging to her car, which I did anyway, and then immediately felt weird about so I walked back and away from the scene. It was unfortunate she didn't have time to stay, but she put it best, "See you in Vegas!" What an amazing post, Molly, thank yo sooooooooo much for sharing(hand on heart) Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
bkitt Posted February 18, 2011 at 01:09 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 01:09 AM Hi Everyone! I have to admit that I laughed out loud when I came on here and saw a few posts about Celine looking tired during the Oprah taping. I only say that because I'm 43 years old, MY "babies" are 20 and 17, and I'm always exhausted when I get home from work. I can't even imagine how exhausted Celine must be with a 10 year old son and newborn twins on top of being a world-wide superstar who has millions of fans waiting for news, photos, and a brand new Vegas show. I think I'd be wondering what was wrong if she DIDN'T look a bit tired. At least we can all be thankful that she has so many wonderful family members around to help her! What a wonderful gift in itself! Thanks to all who have posted news about Monday's Oprah show! Can't wait to watch, but I'll be late getting home that day so I'll have to tape it! Quote ~ Bkitt

It was towards the end when she was shaking hands in the crowd. It was like they had to tell "the fan" to let her go. I can appreciate Celine's desire to want to connect with her fans but I am also fearful for her because she is so open and willing. Sometimes she appears to be a little afraid because all of the chaos. You don't ever really know who is there and what they are thinking. Good thing she has those big guys around her for extra protection, but even still they don't have eyes in the back of their heads to be able to see everything. Nooooo I totally feel you! Hell, I'm 26 and I'm a single mom to an 18 month old and I'm exhausted every moment of my day - I couldn't imagine THREE plus a crazy demanding career. Celine's words really spoke to me at the show though, because she talks about entering the business young and having her songs written for her because she was 12, and the love she knew was just for family... then she talks about the evolution of loving your parents, then having children and knowing a new kind of love... then sang "Lullaby"... forget about it! Thank god for waterproof mascara! Quote

And about "Just because you don't spend every waking moment trying to do relate everything to Celine doesn't make you less of a fan." well, maybe you SHOULD try to make what you do reflect and emulate Celine's kindness, that might make you a nicer person.... They are some fine pieces of work here who will never be satisfied without causing a problem! Lindsey, you said it better than I ever could. Certain people here need to GROW UP! I'd like to think that if Celine knew some of her fans were like this how disappointed she'd be. You have no reason to be like this to anyone, especially Lindsey. When you're so close to having your dream of meeting Celine come true and have it not happen, how could you not be heartbroken? The people who went all spent their hard earned money to go to Chicago for the Oprah show, for a hotel room, for transportation, food, etc. I have family who live outside of Chicago and it's expensive just to drive up there, not to mention fly. Come on people! We as Celine fans are known for being kind and generous just like she is and then this crap happens. What does that say about us? I want to challenge everyone, not just those certain people, to try and reflect/emulate Celine's kindness and generosity through your every day acts, whether it's on the forum or in life, whether it's donating money to a cause or sharing some kind words with someone who needs them. There is just too much hate and violence and war in the world. Do we need it here? No, we don't. Celine's message through her music has always been promoting LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, KINDNESS, BROTHERHOOD to name a few. Let's do Celine proud and spread the love, not the hate. Angel2006 Posted February 18, 2011 at 03:04 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 03:04 AM I don't know what some people on this site are talking about. I think Celine looks amazing!! She doesn't look tired. I think she looks really young with her new hair colour. Celine might have looked a little tired on Larry King, but that was cuz she hadn't slept in weeks and she was settling into being a mom of twins. I think she looks amazing right know. Total bomb shell!!!!! Let's see how you look at that age. You try birthing two babies out of your boby at 42. It takes alot out of you. Plus she hasn't had plastic surgery to keep up her looks like alot of other celebs. Celine is just naturally beautiful!!! Celine also looks great without makeup. In the video of her twins on the Oprah show, she isn't wearing any makeup and she looks pretty much the same as she does with makeup. If you compare that with madonna without makeup, or any other celebs in there mid forties - early fifties and factor in that most of them have had plastic surgery, Celine looks great and how she should look for a woman of 42. Details about the show:I may have it out of order but who cares SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--Oprah read from the teleprompter, something like:John Travolta hasn't done it. Tom Cuise couldn't do it...But she has been on the show 27 time, please welcome Celine Dion....From back stage Celine walks in through the big feathers of the Vegas show girls. They sit down and show the footage from Florida. The outside footage was from Julie's show - RC playing baseball with Rene, the pools, the tree house, tennis court and inside the house. Then they show Celine coming down the stairs with one of the twins in her night gown and no make up.She introduces her mom who is helping with the babies. She plays with the twins and sings to them. She says that she has no make and is in her pj's but it's a moms best uniform (or something like that)Celine says that people may think she is crazy for doing the big pool etc, but that she didn't do it to be the biggest or best at something. She did it for her extended family, 13 brothers and sisters, their children, Rene's children and grand-children.She said that she is always VERY happy to speak to fans and sign autographs, but she likes to have just RC time etc. They talk about the IVF, the baby that died etc. Stuff we have heard before. Thinking of more...... Quote

Cheerfuljane Posted February 18, 2011 at 05:44 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 05:44 AM Molly is the one in green I didn't know the other girl. She looks a little like Tati I just remembered something very important:When the audience director showed Molly to her seat, I said to her "we all know each other" and she replied "we know you all know each other from the forum" One other thing about the show:SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--At the end of the video from Florida, they show Celine lying down with Rene and the twins. When it finishes, Oprah says "can we see that again. I'm sure one of the twins is waving" So they show it again and it really does look like he's waving.Later on Oprah asks what language does Celine talk to the babies in and Celine says they speak French. Then she laughs and says "yes they can wave and speak French" (Not the exact words of Oprah or Celine, but something similar ) Talking about choosing the baby names, Celine says that she had 6 or 7 books with 1000 names or 40000 names, but nothing was right for them. She talks about how they were baby A and baby B and that after a few days Rene said that people were phoning him and asking for thier names so they had to make a decision. They chose Nelson first and then the other name also had to be a "hero" and she speaks about how Eddy Marnay wrote her first 5 French albums and that he was like a father to her etc. Quote
sfbaysinger Posted February 18, 2011 at 05:54 AM Posted February 18, 2011 at 05:54 AM GROW UP! I'd like to think that if Celine Come on people! We as Celine fans are known for being kind and generous just like she is and then this crap happens. What does that say about us?Yeah, we have a reputation to maintain and I know we all can do better than this, those of us who didn't have anything to do with this as well. Every song she sings, every show is her rising up to give us her greatest/finest, let's do that, too like her.I want to challenge everyone, not just those certain people, to try and reflect/emulate Celine's kindness and generosity through your every day acts, whether it's on the forum or in life, whether it's donating money to a cause or sharing some kind words with someone who needs them. There is just too much hate and violence and war in the world. Do we need it here? No, we don't. Celine's message through her music has always been promoting LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, KINDNESS, BROTHERHOOD to name a few. Let's do Celine proud and spread the love, not the hate.Absolutely, definitely, agreed, diddo, hurray, amen, aho, however you say it, rock on thank you soooooooooo so much I love the way you said that!!! That was awesome/amazing/true, right on!!! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
