We are planning a Flash Mob at Caesars Palace on March 15th.

 

Chelsey is running it.

if there can be a video on youtube of the choreography that thing will spread on fb, twitter and the forum like crazy and all the fans attending the premiere will know what to do also during the forum meeting on the 15th we can rehearse and get more people involved we should tell some band members about it too maybe they'll want to join us from the stage

I don't know exactly what a Flash Mob is but i'm in! i don't dance very well but i'll try to dance the best i can...

 

Regarding the song I think IDAN has already been done a lot, maybe we could choose another song. "Reveal" could be a nice song for some dancing.

I have always wanted to do something like this. I love the adverts where they show all the people in train stations or shopping centres all dancing together, its brill. Im not a very good dancer but I will do my best,lol

I think if we do it, we should try to do it several times if at all possible. Maybe have one giant time like before the premiere when we're all together, and then some smaller times through out the week when a lot of us are together again at different locations. Would LOVE to be able to do it inside the Colosseum like after a performance when the seats are empty again and we could take up the seats in the middle section and someone could film from the mezzanine. In the lobby while everyone is waiting to go inside so we have media and a crowd. In front of one of her promotional signs somewhere...at PURE. Just brainstorming

It's a definite possiblity.

We still need to finalize all those plans.

I really like the flash mob idea. I'm not a good dancer, but I will do my best and participate.

A you tube movie with the dance moves is a great idea so we can practice it at home first

I'm so excited that all of you are excited! A few things:

 

I believe we have decided that the song will be a compilation of several Celine songs. Mostly remix type upbeat songs. That way not only will it be more interesting but it will promote songs from every Celine era... from Unison to Taking Chances. We have some people working on mixes and the sort. If you feel like you could contribute and put together a mix feel free! We could even use a compilation of some compilations YOU guys make! Some song we were thinking were: Taking Chances, I'm Alive, A New Day, Power of Love, MHWGO, Unison, and possibly IDAN... just because we have to do a group arm wave! ha.. Be creative... like that video Jane posted up there.. where Celine says "Everybody Dance Now" ... that would be ADORABLE right at the point towards the last quarter of the song where EVERYONE joins in!

 

Also, I know some of you are saying you don't dance very well and THATS OKAY! The moves will most likely vary.. In the beginning, we'll start with one dancer, then advance to 5, then say 15, and so on until everyone joins in. If you are FOR SURE dancing, let us know if you have previous dance experience. We could use the more advanced dancers towards the beginning to do some more difficult moves in unison. Then, as the song progresses and more 'dancers' are added, the moves will become significantly easier and repetitive so they're easy to learn and perform! The performer in me can't help but to say, if you have a smile on your face and attitude in your moves, it doesnt matter how good of a dancer you are! Just look like you're having fun! And that'll be easy!

 

There might be some acting to do too.. I love the flash mobs where you see random people walking around like.. "what the crap is going on?" backing up and having others back up (secretly making room for the whole group) then all of a sudden you see them run in and start dancing too! This will be nerve racking and a success all in one! But now is the time to let yourself go and enjoy it!

 

Jane and I are discussing details but we do hope to have atleast one practice in person IN vegas. On the day of. You will be able to learn the dance moves (and eventually assigned to which part you come in at) via internet and videos. But it will do a WORLD of wonders to be able to do a run through just hours before show time.

 

It is crucial that within a few months we have a final number of dancers so we can get the numbers straight as to the order of appearance. Like I said, there will be groups of dancers coming in and you will be assigned to one. If we have 100 participants, that changes the dance than say if we had 300 participants. THE MORE THE BETTER! Maybe Celine will even mention it the night of! I'm sure word of mouth will travel fast!

I haven't heard of this happening a lot in Vegas. I think it would be really cool. Best way to do it is upload a video on YouTube with someone dancing the steps so the other participants can learn it... if you want to keep it under wraps then think of disguising it somehow. You should keep it as simple as possible.

 

 

Some of our easier steps were in RDMH on the A New Day DVD, the 'cane men' in POL is an easy one too, LCMM has some good clapping steps....

What if, like Lindsay said, you could do a few smaller ones all thoughout the week but do those small ones all at the same time once or twice? Just a suggestion. I'm really exited even though I can't be there for March­. I'm sure it'll make the news sinse it's the big event!

Personally, I think "Unison" would be the best choice. (The "Single Mix" that is.)
