It's standard fare for studios to make submissions, actually getting nominated is the hard part. But at least now she's in with a chance.

Yes, the concert dvd has just been ''SUBMITTED" for consideration for a nomination......the Grammy nominations are not out until December 1st. She faces very high competition. Madonna, U2 are definitely getting in so theres two right there (only three spots left).

 

Celine's record label has been submitting her stuff for nomination consideration the last TEN years and the recording academy has virutally stopped nominating her--why, I don't know. Her last nomination was in 2000 for "All the way" with Frank Sinatra for best pop collaboration with vocals.

 

Since then.....she was snubbed for "A new day has come" "One Heart" "Miracle" "Taking Chances" " A new day.."..etc.

 

I serioulsy think she's done in terms of getting nominated again. Hard to believe, since she won the top prize of "Album of the Year" in 97'.

 

I"d be shocked if this was nominated, but hey, if any of her work deserves a nomination it's this tour. It was brilliant.

But as you mentioned, there are 5 nomination slots and only 2 nominations we know for sure will get nominated. I don't know of any other serious competition TCWT would have besides S&S tour and 360 tour
