Celine's unreleased concerts

I am talking about the concerts that took place during the LTAL tour...

 

Cameras were present in every concert and many of them have been released as small portions on some DVDs...

 

I wish to see the florida and the columbus concerts on a dvd but I am worried that they would be doing like what have been done to Dalida. Dalida's brother waited 20 years after her death to release the 8 DVD collection, and I feel that Sony are waiting for such a thing with Celine...

It would just be a series of raw, unedited shots from each of the various cameras and it would take time (and more importantly, money) to edit all the sound and images into a final show. It's much more likely we could get something like the Millennium Concert or the first AND show since those concerts were already edited and could be released much more easily.

Some of them were already edited and ready to be watched, because I remember excerpts and footage from the FIY tour that were included in promotional videos for instore use and Sony promo purposes

 

At least some concerts from FIY tour are ready to be released, and probably some more from the english LTAL tour

How do you know they didn't just edit together some clips exactly for those purposes? An excerpt would be quick and easy to do, editing a full show would be a big task. I've seen loads of clips, but that provides no evidence they went to the trouble of making full shows, fully edited for a possible release. Especially if they planned to film the biggest shows of the tour at the Stade de France. The only show I would feel could have been edited in full for a possible DVD was the Montreal show from 1998, as we have various clips from it (THLAL, MHWGO, LTAL, various other clips etc).

Thomas, I don't think the editing would be the biggest problem... I guess the quality and the digitally enhancing stuff from over 15 years ago would be the biggest costs...

 

But so what!? I mean it's not like Céline hasn't got any money herself! I mean if she'd be really proud of her old(er) work, and she want to share this with the fans, then I don't see a problem!

You're right Thomas, but for example, it comes to my mind the FIY and ABM performances we have during the FIY tour, that they were included in some Sony promo videos for instore play (I have one of those). How could they just shot those specific songs, and not the whole concert? It would be very random if they had acted that way. If they have those songs taped, probably they have the full show

I would LOVE to have the 1996 Montreal FIY concert in HQ.

 

I found the ABM performance in HQ only; the other songs can be viewed in the VH1 TV special but the quality of sound and picture is very LOW. I would love to have all the performances in HQ like this one:

Her voice was prime in the first half of LTAL tour....and she has little to show for it. I would love LTAL stuff and FIY concerts.

 

Montreal 1996 is completely uploaded to YouTube as are about a whole concert from LTAL but more better quality stuff is desired.

The Miami WDMHBN and Au Rythme De Whatever were not apart of the CD tour. We still have nothing from this.

 

From 1992-1997, she had a bad habit of wearing her tour clothes throughout promo appearances and it made things confusing at times. (Like the damn performances of IACBTMN and TPOTD from some show called Le Povour De Revu or something weird like that) lol

 

Also, I'd love to see more of the Montreal 1998 special. Someone said it even had The Reason, Immortality, and MHWGO....idk if it's true, but it'd be cool.

Ya, all of these would've been great to release. Especially TCOML one. It's so unfortunate that the special was released. An all live dvd would of been fantastic. And TCWT pre America..sigh. It is so sad that wasn't released.

I found the performance of ABM; she was complaining about the song back in 98 that everybody wanted to hear her sing this song and how it was difficult to her to perform the song:

Actually, IMO, the LTAL tour is very similar to the TC tour in the vocal performance of Celine; she was tired in this tour like she was in TC.

but the most possible or the most likely release in near future would be AND 1st dvd or Millennium Concert

Her voice from LTAL in Montreal December 1998 was DA BOMB!!! It was crystal clear and overwhelming.

Is it me or does it sound like in the Florida video that in the first 1-2 seconds the band is doing "When I Need You"

FYI Le Pouvoir du reve songs were filmed LIVE at the Bell Center as part of the show. I was there that night in December 1996. First time I saw Celine live ! I was 12 years old....

The Millenium concert was blocked from being released on DVD because of Celine's wish to do so. I don't think it's going to be released anytime soon. Plus, I prefer concerts that portray her vocal performance at the highest...
