''Possible'' future release of a Celine Dion Essential Mixes album

Hey guys, as Ronny reported earlier on the forum, there is a good chance that they ''may'' bring out a Celine Essential Mixes album in the near future, and just like the My Love album, Sony Music UK are again interested to find out what tracklist of remixed Celine songs members of this forum would like to see on the album, if they do decide to release it.

 

The topic will be opened for a month, and at the end the results will be passed to my contact at Sony Music UK, who will then discuss this with the other branches of Sony Music.

 

Please list between 11/12 remixed Celine songs, with the song title, what the remix is called if it has a name and who is responsible for the remix.

 

Please remember its one list per member, so have a good think before posting please, and thank you so much for taking part in this, its much appreciated!

Ok thanks I think that the discussion is going to be with those songs that had a lot of remixes, like Misled, Love Can Move Mountains, IACBTMN or MHWGO. Other's aren't going to have much to chose from, that's why I asked. But they should be included and not ignored, for example Treat Her Like A Lady, which had only two or three remixes, but great

 

Can we consider some french remixes too? It only comes to my head Je Danse Dans Ma Tête, but maybe it would be cool to add a french remixed track!?

Make this a RETROSPECT! I see an Avril Lavigne "Essential Remixes" is set for release this month. Why not Celine?

Don't just give us the same ol' "To Love You More"---"My Heart Will go On" remixes. everyone has these already. Hardly essential.

It is very difficult to chose when it comes to songs that had many remixes like A New Day Has Come, I Drove All Night or My Heart Will Go On. And while listening again the different versions, I kept wondering what should prevail in this album, if the variety of titles over the quality of the remixes in her career, or the recognition/quality of the remixed song in question.

 

Finally I went for the variety of songs in the tracklist. I think that, now that we have the opportunity to have a say, Sony should show in this disc the "many" different songs she has had remixes througout ther career, regardless if the song was more or less popular in radios. I'm talking of songs like Unison, Did You Give Enough Love, Treat Her Like A Lady, I Want You To Need Me or Sorry For Love.

 

We all know Sony can't continue denying and neglecting some great singles just because in the past they didn't give them a chance in the radios, or because nowadays Céline doesn't sing them anymore. NOW its the moment for the people to discover this songs, although in the form or a "remix"

Well as I see it this is not a stand alone Céline Dion release, but a release within a series from the record company. I think we should be glad Céline is considered to be in this series, since she aint exactly famous for her great remixes.

I really want an album of great RARE mixes. There are loads of rarely heard mixes, many of which are only available on promotional vinyls or cassettes. So if we could have some of these rare remixes available on CD, it would be a worthwile album for all fans to have, as it wouldn't be the same old remixes we're used to hearing:

You're right, it would be a thousand times better if Sony thought of releasing a full CD of unreleased tracks, they sure know about this But in the meantime, if its true that we will have this CD of remixes, it means a good step forward in their brains If this happens, maybe that CD can happen too in the future
