Celine Channel Forum logo?

Yeah I can't see why it needs to cost money. Unless you mean that you can't add any new images to the header of the current skins or something?

 

Unless I am crazy, I think that the logo that has just been creAted for the fan meeting would actually, with a bit of tweaking be absolutely brilliant as a logo for the forum. it is very classy, not copyrighted and to any real fan is instantly recognisable as being from the PQTME video. It's the classiest logo we could ever have and could be incorporated into t-shirts, mugs, ties, badges basically anything we want which could be designed and created as required by a site like zazzle. And because zazzle will custom create as little as 1 item at a time, these could then be sold on through the forum as and when required by individuals as a way of maybe generating some income for the boards upkeep.

We paid to make the fan meeting logo. BTW, use the tweaked PQTME logo is actually my idea. We had a few logos for our videos before. But never feel satisfied with them, and never used them as our official logo. Maybe we can try to tweak that logo for our forum.

Well I would congratulate you on that idea Bellamy because it was a great one. Seriously I feel I have a good idea for tasteful and expensive looking design and that's what this is, plus it has an instant connection to Celine. It would be a shame not to take better advantage of it now that you have got it by just altering the texted logo of icdfm to something more fitting for the celinedionforum. I hope that you can find a way to make this work. I believe that this isn't one of those logo's that will look tired in a few years time. So here;s my two pennies worth, and bare in mind that I say this as a true supporter and admirer of these forums.

 

In my opinion the enormous impact of this forum on the fan community and the amazing benefits it gives to us all, completley overshadows that of celinechannel.com which, (and I don't mean to be rude so please forgive me) is not a very good site on it's own, and is at this stage, a bit redundant.

 

If I was you, I would at this stage be closing down that website altogether, and concentrate fully on the forum. Slowly but steadily remove the reference to the Celine Channel forum and give the site the name that it truly deserves and is mainly known by anyway: The Celine Dion Forum

 

For the logo I would have celine dion forum . (Obviously with the white outline around the black writing) Now I know that some change in font size or style would be needed here as there are clearly more letters in the new title, but I'd try to keep it in the one line and printed in as similar a way as possible to the icdfm.org text.

 

Next leave the INTERNATIONAL in the red box, but fill in where the g dips into the red, and re-centre the word international. Keep the red band centred and not overlapping the curly bit.

 

Then where it says CELINE DION FAN MEETING replace the text (as you have done above) with CELINEDIONFORUM.COM I'd try to leave that as all upper case or all lower case, but not a mixture. (Again outline the text in white and print in as similar a way as possible to the fan meet logo text.)

 

Hope this gives you some food for thought, again I do not mean to be rude about the website, but I'm saying this with the best interest of our amazing forum at heart.

yeah I have to agree with John, the 'celine channel' bit is redundant, I don't think a lot of people would even know what that is, plus it's confusing; channel, forum, what is it?

 

OR only use Celine Channel and put the website adress in the red bar, instead of 'international'

For the "Celine Channel Forum" we could use the Celine handwriting font and for "celinedionforum.com" we could use the Taking Chances font.

 

The outline would be black most likely and the writing could maybe be a dark red?

 

I must say- I'm really liking this ^

and I agree with J-man about if we created the logo and put it on shirts and stuff it would make up for the money lost making the logo. I would definitely buy a shirt with that on it and wear it with pride! Hey, I might even get a few of em in multiple colors!

Ah, thats true, I didn't think of that... Maybe another CD font?

 

3 colors? Why not 2? Black symbol, red letters? Could we get a transparent background- Like the ICDFM logo?

I'm borderline about the "chalky" look. It could either look really fantastic or it could look really messy, but I guess we don't know until we try!

I love this idea bc I chose the PQTME for my wedding just for those same reasons, timeless, elegant, instant recognition for Céline fans, and beautiful!

 

I drew it up a few times bc it went on my invitations and is going on my programs, too. I actually tried to do it in chalk! hahahaha We all think alike. I can post a few versions I did, they are drawn straight off the top of the one from the video, which I discovered is not symmetrical or straight hahaha. But I kinda like it skewed bc that is what I have come to identify as "the symbol" you know.

Looking at it there, I think that celinedionforu,.com as the main text is a bit too wordy and the international bit looks a bit wrong on its own.

 

Maybe it could be:

Celine Dion in the main text (probably celine dion)

Then INTERNATIONAL FORUM in the red text

Then celinedionforum.com below (like in the vegas meeting logo.)

 

Can you try this in both chalk and plain design, if you can.

I really do like the chalk effect! However, do we have to have it say "international"? I'm not a big fan of that, maybe if it wasn't in the big red box. Can we make this logo to be not as similar to the CDIFN logo? I would get confused if they look too much alike. My favorite one with text was the "CDF.com" one where all the text is inside the heart. Could we maybe erase the lines in the background of the heart to make it a bit less busy there??

 

Oh, also, I REALLY like the chalky look of the symbol to the left of and under the top one in the first picture (I guess that would be design 2?)

It's good to tie both in together as the fan meets are official meetings of the forum anyway, so they are both representing the same organisation.

^ click for larger image. the 2nd style on the left, 1st style on the right. all the text, i just throw them around randomly. and there's something about the fan meeting heart colour that irks me. so there's two colours there. first row is the original colour. second row is the modified colour.

 

i just realised we have the same colour scheme as Borders bookstores' hehehe. except for the PQTME heart that is
