English verison of L'amour existe encore?

Guess what happened with that, the collectors series... :hmm:

These would be interesting questions to ask her in her interviews and TV shows for once! Journalists could ask her these kind of music-related questions at least for once each 10 years! This and the unreleased songs mystery. It would be really cool to see Céline answer these questions, to see what happened with all these matters. But journalists completely ignore that side of her career related to music/singles/artwork etc

But of course this won't happen, as long as she can talk about her son, mother, husband and all that :ermm: -_-

I don't think she knows what "the collector's series" is

You are right Davey, they would be great for a CS vol 2

I am curious as to what it would sound like and I wouldn't be against an English version. It's just that I know the song as a French one and I have a special admiration for it. I think for me individually an English version would be a let down. But who knows. If they did release it, I would love it because it's Celine! and I'm sure it would be a beautiful song. I'm not against it being released, I would just prefer a new original English song.

♥ Thank you, Céline for giving me the greatest birthday I could ask for! ♥

Speaking for myself , knowing very few words in French, I just love the melody of L'amour existe encore. I really like the Spanish version as well. It would just be interesting to hear her sing lyrics I understand to this beautiful music. It's like If That's What It Takes. I love that song and the orginal French version Pour Que Tu M'aime Encore, not because of the lyrics but the way it sounds.

I guess the big question is, if both Celine and Rene really didn't think the English version of L'amour Existe Encore sounded very good then why would they ever release it?

Somewhat related, something I've been thinking about for a long time: Speaking of songs we love in languages we don't understand I have always wanted Celine to sing Nessun Dorma. That song gives me chills up and down my body. Especially the Pavarotti version. Aretha did it at the Grammys a while back and in my honest opinion it didn't carry the same emotional impact. If Celine were to sing it in a one off performance and put every inch of her being into the vocals I am sure it would become a classic for her. What do you think?

Hi :)

Yes you are right! But I don't understand why they are keeping this for them! Many singers have rare songs that they didn't want to be on their albums! But those songs have leaked for the pleasure of their fans! Celine's fan are not spoiled in rare stuff :glare:

Remember what happened with My Heart Will Go On? Céline thought it was a bad song to record . Thank God that René didn't think the same and convinced and insisted her to record a demo (which is the current song we have as you know). That's her most successful song in her career and one of the most recognised songs in Music History today.

So, given that experience, we know Céline has not the best nose when it comes to picking great songs :whistling:

Well, I praise René for that moment in particular, but when he said that "A Song For You" was the best song in her TC album ruined it all   .

So in conclusion, I highly doubt that both of them are very wise when it comes to discuss if a song "sounds good or not" -_- :P (let the fans decide that no?). Perhaps this bad "nose" for songs is all the story that lays behind the poor singles choices in the last years...

I know, i'm sick of those worthless boring interviews with questions that have been asked a thousand times already. Specially when you know exactly what answer she will respond. Why can't she be interviewed by a fan journalist. Why can't they find one. Or just a straight foward fan. Like me. :-D

I think it should be a theme for Celine's next album. Dion Chante Les Fans ( to Dion chante Plamondon) Songs written by fans, album cover made by fans, press conference with fans. Na... i'm just being stupid ^_^

Not stupid, is all what many of us here desire for once -_- Her interviews have become whatever show except an interview about the music release she is supposed to promote :whistling:

I like the french verison but it would be nice to have one I can actually understand and get the meaning behind it and not just say oh that sound pretty. When all I know is she's singing about love. Don't get me wrong, there are a few of her french song I absolutely love, I mean really love but I don't have a clue as to what she's singing about unless I do a translation of the lyrics and even then it's not totally clear because half the time they are translated wrong.
