Hey!

 

I've looked for a similar topic about this but didn't find any (sorry if this has been posted before).

 

What are your special, favourite parts of Céline's songs that makes you love the song even more? Those ad-libings, openings or endings that make you tremble?.

 

You can post the exact minute for us to check it and judge it :P

 

Right now I'm loving the fading of Ten Days, when she says those "dabadum dum badadum" (3:00)! :punk: :punk: :punk: She totally rocks there :w00t: :in_love: :in_love:

 

Don't you miss more of these adlibings in her latest songs?

That's a bit hard to explain, but my favorite parts of course are when she hits the high notes, and the songs are fast-paced. I don't care for the slow songs much :-/ but then again for me, My Love get's fast-paced, so i love that song :) Um.. I also love when she holds notes for a long time, even if they're low sounding notes :)

 

But sorry, I don't have the patience to sit down and search through all the songs :) haha.

 

In Map to my heart, one of the notes she hits sounds computerized! But I know it's her singing, never a computer synthesizing. Haha :D

I don't know the exact time of the song but on Then You Look At Me, it starts out"and you say you see when you look at me, the reason you love life so." I just rewind that part every time. I don't know why I love that so much but its my favorite part of the whole song.

I Surrender - beginning at 2:46

Map To My Heart - beginning at 1:45

TFTIESYF - 2:32 - 3:06

 

I also really love the lyrics of This Time from 1:18 - 1:42.

Oh, Lord. I could post on this topic all day! But I'll start with 1:07 of Eyes on Me. "It's not an illusion...." I love the that lyric! It's the best part of the entire song. I wish I could've directed a music video for this song!

I love this thread topic!! I need to listen to remind myself of what points of songs exactly knock me off my feet when I hear them. But one that blows my mind is when she starts hitting the high high notes in "Fade Away." It's just reminds me of how incredible she is!! Oh and this one isn't on an album, but when she sang live on Oprah with the Canadian Tenors... When she added her voice into that beautiful acapella blend... boy, my mouth dropped. I had to run and get the video offline and find a recording because I was so speechless.

I really love the song "Comme un Coeur Froid" (Like a frozen heart) from "Incognito", when she start to speak: 2:37 - 3:10 and of course the trumpet.

I always thought that she said there "and you say you see the wa-a-ay you look at me" :P but its right, she says "when you look at me". Amazing orchestrated song :in_love: :in_love:

The beggining with trumpets is precious yes! :thumbsup2: But what most enjoy in this song is whe she sings the brings and then says "comme si chaque fois c'etait fini, comme si chaque fois c'etait fini, comme si chaque fois c'etait fini..." (2:58) and then comes the trompet solo :in_love: :in_love: :in_love:
