SO I think it is time for "some lessons in history"!

 

First of all, I am not posting to encourage anyone to "like" The Red Heads or to adopt this name- I am answering to the different questions that were raised in the first page of this topic, and which have not been answered correctly.

 

1) Who are The Red Heads?

 

The Red Heads represent fans who take part in the different projects/meetings about Céline that we organize- which we have been doing for more than 2 years now. What is important to understand is that you can be a Red Heads for only one event if you like/can be there, you don't have to commit to anything, to pay anything or whatever. For example, many of you took part in the video that we created for Céline's 42nd birthday, called "6x7". You may never take part in any of our events again, it doesn't matter (well it does for us, but you get my point ).

 

2) Are The Red Heads only french??

 

NOOOO WAY! The organizers are indeed french-speaking fans, but it doesn't mean that we are a "select" group for french or canadian only. On the contrary!!!! Each time we make a new event, we do our best to invite EVERYONE, from every nationality. You can check yourself, in every section of this forum, at least one topic about The Red Heads has been opened (be it about 6x7, or about the various meetings that we had). Just for your information, after reading your post today we sent out a little survey to know where some Red Heads come from... here are some responses after only a few hours: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pag...116997118343950.

Not only have we organized meetings in different cities of France, Belgium, but also in Québec. Our last meeting was in Paris a month ago, where we rented a very well-known theatre to broadcast "Céline: Through The Eyes of The World". About 250 fans joinded us (from Tunisia, Moldavia, Italia, Belgium, Switzerland, France). And there is one upcoming meeting that will occur somewhere in march 2011...

 

Anyway, although the majority of Red Heads are french-speaking fans, it is totally wrong to say that we are a select group of fans. Please try to be informed before saying such things. And by the way, many of you here can say that they are Red Heads...

 

3) Why The Red Heads?

 

AH! The question everybody asks... instead of explaining it all over again, I am giving you the link to "The Red Heads History" from our website (in english ) : http://www.lesredheads.com/en/the-red-head...ed-heads-story/.

To make a long story short, when Céline came to Arras during the TCWT, we decided to surprise her by blowing hundreds our red balloons right before the song "My Love". The effect was spectacular, especially when we all decided to throw the balloons, the whole audience looked like they were wearing red caps... that's where our name comes from. Céline's team told us later that they loved this moment and said that from the stage, "you all looked like you were wearing red caps!". It was amazing!

Might sound silly for some of you, might not sound like Céline fans since her name doesn't appear in the title, but this is what we are, this is what represents the birth of The Red Heads. But yes, we ARE indeed Céline Dion fans, and everyone is free to join our events, anytime, and with your OWN IDENTITY! Meaning that you can be americain, chinese, mexican, no matter what forum/website you come from, you can attend a Red Heads meeting. We are not trying to compete with anyone (we are not in competition with this forum at all) or any fan, please understand this.

 

To finish, I think the best way to understand who we are, what we do/have done/will do is to visit our website. That's a name for select group of fans, not the mass name for all fans.

We are not "separating", we called ourself this for a special reason, and now this is how we are known- not only by fans but by Céline as well.

 

Oh I didn't know! Well it's cool because I would have loved a name which is has something to do with Celine! And red heads has nothing to do with her Why don't we choose a name for ALL her fan?

Oh.. I don't particularly like 'Red Heads'. Because that means ONLY canadians like Celine. But, no, everyone in the entire world loves Celine, some just choose not to admit it So... it should have something to do with Celine, her appearance, her personality, something! There are so many BEAUTIFUL characteristics to choose from!!

 

I don't know where you got the idea that we were canadian, but if you read my post above you'll understand that it's wrong!

As an example, Mariah calls ALL her fans her lambs. Celine couldn't call all of us Red Heads. We were talking about the name we could call all of us, even if we then make our own teams and do our own events under these names.

I don't think they think this way, they organise really good events in the Celine world so good luck to them! But obviously not everyone in the whole word is a Red Head! So if there was an official name like "Lambs" then Celine could call us ALL by this name, but then you could also be a Red Head, or TeamSCF or CelineLovers or anything else!

 

I like your suggestion, CLine! I'm not sure everyone would like this though!
