i would have waited has i bought the same blanket from the same seller from ebay he changes prices every other day saw it at $249 then $199 i was lucky to get it at $149 with free delivery

I know that guy. He's been marking everything he sells up so much higher. The prices are already so expensive, trying to mark them up even more is rediculous!

ive seen some of the other celine merc he seeling and yeah really expensive soume are double the price i only bought the blanket cause it was $149 so saved $20 plus didnt have to carry it back to uk but he now has it up for $250 rediculous how people try to make quick money

I didn't know the blanket was that big! Still...I dunno about Mr. Blanket. IT's awfully soft but..that's a lot of Céline's face. I might feel weird snuggling up with so many of her haha.

The likeness or name of most singers can sell T-shirts, key chains and calendars. But only one performer has the retail power to sell a $3,000 purse: Celine Dion.

"Some of the unique things she can sell really sets her apart from what other entertainers can do," says Courtney Cook, retail buyer for Caesars Entertainment. "I'm not sure that anyone else could sell a $3,000 Judith Leiber bag. No, I'm not just sure. I know they couldn't."

Dion returned to Caesars Palace with a new show in March after being away for four years. Her retail store, Celine, opened at the same time, offering fans a range of merchandise sporting Dion's image or name. Items are as inexpensive as a $1 postcard or as pricey as the Leiber bag.

The small, black clutch is covered in musical notes, a reference to Dion's focus on music in her new show, says Cook, who worked with the singer's team to stock the store with merchandise that best represents her.

Cook was able to reference information about Dion's retail history from her last residency at Caesars. After spending time with Dion's advisers, Cook identified qualities that should inform the merchandise.

"She has an extremely loyal following," Cook says. "Fans love her. She has a very specific look. She's chic, dainty, very feminine, that's what you think of when you see Celine."

Knowing that, Cook was able to put together a profile of the Dion fan and then stock the gift shop accordingly. Her fans want high quality items and are willing to pay more for them. So, the shirts have sparkles or similar touches; there are items such as a throw blanket, drink coasters, perfumes, picture frames, flip-flops, sunglasses, watches and even water bottles, all featuring Dion's name or likeness.

Roberto Coin designed jewelry for the gift shop with some pieces costing more than $1,000.

"The retail world knows her draw," Cook says. "When we called Leiber, they were thrilled to have the opportunity."

Wisconsin fan James Zhang, 20, represents the typical Celine Dion fan, he says. Along with a friend from Singapore, Zhang planned for years to come to Las Vegas to see Dion perform. They missed her first run, so as soon as they heard about the new show, they splurged on the most expensive tickets and decided to turn it into a Celine-centric vacation. He shopped in the store two hours before the show, buying perfume for his mother and sister and CDs for himself.

"All my life I've been listening to her," gushed the pre-law student. "This has been a dream for years in the making."

Cook refused to discuss specific numbers but said that the retail store sales are tracking slightly higher compared to Dion's last run at Caesars.

"We had our reservations going into this set of shows," she says. "You know, it's a different time, different economy than when she left in 2007. Retail has changed. People are very price-conscious. But people are coming back, they want to go to the show, they want to buy her merchandise. It's amazing that Celine can command the kind of prices that she does."

I bought a Celine watch for $130.00, a program for $30.00, and a T-Shirt that says "Because You Loved Me." I think the T-shirt was $45.00. So I spend $245.43 at the boutique. But it was worth it. They had some new t-shirts that were there that looked pretty awesome!! One of the shirts was $65 and featured a G-clef with musical notes in gold and Celine's name all over it. Only problem they only had two shirts and when I came back they were gone!! They don't know if they will get it again, seems like they are always having new stuff, when I go there, there is always something different!!!

There did seem to be quite a few different T-shirts, but not many that appealed to me mainly because of the balance between cost and quality.

I'm in Vegas and there's lots of new stuff at the Boutique!

 

Those mugs are nice and BIG and match the photoframe with Celine's pics around the edge.

 

There are new pens- blue, white, pink for $10. There's a nice black one for $20 without Swarovski crystals.

 

There are lighters now- silver with her logo on it.

 

There are fans that open and have 'A New Day' with Celine on one side and the dancers on the other for $8.

 

The tote bags are $10.

 

I got me some coasters

 

They have black "I Love Celine Dion- Celine Dion loves me" t-shirts- seem to be cut more unisex (yay guys!)

 

There are bracelets from 'A New Day' in gold and silver $15

 

There are rubber bracelets that are white with the "Celine Dion Foundation" written on them $3

 

There are swarovski crystal microphone key chains.

 

There are pretty cool round keychains with your initial and her logo $20. They didn't have my initial haha.

 

There are new shirts too! There is a tank top with a sheer black back and the front is Celine's face in a collage of square sequins!!!! It is unfortunately $68. There is a sleeved version as well.

 

If you remember the pretty red t-shirt with Celine's face on it from D'elles, there is now a green/yellowish one that has her silhouette from the Taking Chances photoshoot where she is standing in the door frame looking straight on ahead of her. So pretty but $70.

 

There are some white t-shirts that are women's cut that say 'Celine Dion VEGAS'

 

They have some gray ones that have the sequin collage effect on the lettering 'Celine Dion Vegas'

 

The have some sparkly kinda t-shirts with music notes kind of similar to the others we've all seen in the store, just a slightly diff style.

 

There are a few new keychains with her photo on them that spins. Some new little charms.

 

I really adore the sequined collage of her face but I'm unsure if the sequins would really last and it's $68!

 

I'm sure I've forgotten something but I'll be back in there tomorrow haha.

Thanks, Lindsey! I was so in my own little world while I was in there, I didn't even think to make a list of new stuff!

I'll totally admit that I bought those programs from A New Day lmao -- I never made it to that show, so I wanted some souvenirs!

I ended up spending about $200 this time. A lot less than last time and still totally worth it!
