Celine on Diane Warren's PBS Special

Yeah, but it is better than nothing. If it's pre-taped, I hope it is not from Boston. It would be nice if she pre-taped her performance in a separate studio so it would actually be 2010....and the full song too. It's been 11 years since the full song has been performed.

I just got back from the dress rehearsals of the taping for the Diane Warren special at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood.........and drum roll.......Celine was not there However in the rehearsals we had to clap for the announcements for the artists appearing during the show...and they did mention........CELINE DION! In regards to BYLM....there was actually a performance of that song by a new group/project Diane was premiering named Due Voci....it was a duo (male and female) and they kinda looked like they stepped out of a soap opera...they were both beautiful, and the girl (Kelly Levesque http://duevoci.com ) looked exactly like Faith Hill with a very powerful voice. I think they are meshing Diane Warren covers with classical music al la IL DIVO (who did not perform during the dress rehearsal) They both sang BYLM, so I don't think Celine will be contributing that song. We did see Leann Rimes perform 'Can't Stop the Moonlight" and "HOw Will I Live" (SHE'S TINY!!!), Toni Braxton perform "Unbreak My Heart", "Spanish Guitar", Fantasia Barrino perform "Beautiful", Patty Austin (Jazz performer) perform "I Turn To You", and of course Due Voci, and some other performers (Saxophone medley and a guy from Indonesia). At the end though Gloria Estefan came out as well as Eric Benet for a group performance of "Rhythm of the Night".

 

After we left , there was going to be the real live audience performance at 7pm, so we don't know whether Celine might be in that performance...but she definitely was not at the dress rehearsal. BTW, the stage director named June 6th as the PBS date...not sure if I heard wrong.

I know Gloria didn't come out during the dress rehearsal (only at the end)...but she looked amazing! She was wearing a very silk like blue dress and she joined the group in singing "Rhythm of the Night" and that's when Diane Warren came out and joined the group. Diane Warren seems like a VERY shy person...she seemed awkward even speaking on stage about herself

Well if Due Voci did ''Because You Loved Me'', then my guess is that Celine won't perform. The other artists did their biggest hits and ''Because You Loved Me'' is Celine's biggest Diane Warren song. Plus the fact that she was not at the rehearsals tells me she won't perform... I just hope she is not still sick.

True!! I remember that she didn't take part in rehearsals with the Anne Murray special, and she gave a wonderful performance!

 

I really hope that's the case here, but I'm doubtful...since other people sang BYLM.

What I find weird is that her name is listed as one of the performers. If she decided not to do it because she is pregnant, then they wouldn't have mentioned her name. Maybe Lindsay is right and she is still sick so they decided to record her part when she feels better. It would make sense if she really does have a bad chest infection. You can't sing if you are coughing all the time...

 

Edit: These last couple of weeks has really been frustrating because nobody has a clue what is going on... it is like she vanished...

We've gone a few weeks without hearing from her before...like at the beginning of the break, we didn't always know exactly where she was or what she was doing. We've just been keeping up more lately cause she did some publicity for the movie, and sometimes we know when she's in NY.

I'm guessing either she's... a) Still sick, b ) Pregnant, c) Getting ready to try IVF again, or d) There was never any intention for her to participate live, in the first place.

I think she is been taking to Mars with aliens... thats why she was so sick lately, and didnt show up at the Diane Warren special,

and now she is resting @ Mars, and after 9 months she will come back with lots of other aliens, just to show you she is alright ;-)

I spoke with the owner of celebrity city and he said he would keep an eye out for any new photo's of Celine for me so I'm really really hoping he'll find some of her at the event, or going to it or leaving or during the event.
