Celine in New York - March 5

I hope she gets pregnant; however, if this 5th attempt does not I really suggest her to stop trying. I mean she could get cancer if she keeps on getting hormone shots.

Her first IVF attempt in August, in fact, seemed to work. News of her pregnancy leaked to the press, so Dion felt an obligation to her fans to confirm it, only to lose the pregnancy days later. She and Angelil decided to try again the next month.

 

... and with a new Vegas show deal in the works by then, Dion though their fourth round of IVF in December would be their last.

Yes, but there has to be a recording studio in Florida somewhere, right? I don't see why she'd have to go all the way to NYC to record.

Well yes there is one but she doesn't record at the same place everytime! D'Elles was recorded in MTL and NYC and there is a studio in Vegas where she was staying at the time... Yes, invitro works in cycles (not going into the details). Go bact to the other topics when Celine was in New York, you'll see that she was there every time between the 12th and 17th of the month.

 

It could be a check-up, who knows...

 

Edit: Titom, by now she already knows whether or not she is pregnant. They can determine 10-13 days after the transfer whether it worked or not.

 

Well she told everyone on Oprah she was going for the 5th attempt. By now everybody knows that she should know if she is pregnant or not.

I think maybe Celine would have mentioned by now if the 5th try did not work? She knows all her fans are waiting. Please, please let it be good news.

Dlewis said that he was keeping an eye out for Celine pics, any new ones but so far other than this one he hadn't found any on the photo agency sites yet but he said more would probably show up soon. He said he'll post any new ones he finds, if he does I'll be sure to ask permission if I can post them here for you guys

 

He said he hasn't been able to find the ones of her at Barney's/Nello's in HQ yet either. He has been looking but hasn't had any luck.

well maybe the pregancy was from a preious IVF.

no its not, the last IVF didn't work they even said so. They found out in December it didn't work just before they went to Disney. It's just the way her coat it laying, she has her arm on it and its puffed out a little. This is the same coat she's worn previously in NY and it always has that same puffy look to it.

i dont think she wears the same outfits twice, plus i would know if she did.

Celine IS pregnnant. why can't you just admit it!!

if she is she wouldn't be showing yet, she would only be a couple weeks into the pregnancy. I'm not going to keep aruging in circles about this you can say she's got a stomach if you want even if she doesn't.

That's scary. I just read some articles about it though and it seems quite controversial/ debatable. Nobody seems to really know for sure if it increases the risk of cancer. I guess because it's a relatively new technology, they haven't had generations to study it over.

 

But you're right, I hope she doesn't continue at the expense of her own health. I can only imagine how hard the disappointment of failed treatments must be, and I'd love nothing more than to see her with a new baby, but I dunno...maybe the longer she keeps trying, the harder it's going to be on her if it never works. Plus, sure she can perform when pregnant, but if she gets pregnant at the wrong time she'd have to cancel some shows and then there'd be more stress on her..

 

 

I hope she's there because she's had good news, but it seems doubtful. I know she seemed to have a lot of faith in the 5th try being 'the one' but scientifically, you know the odds were the same as they were every other time.

 

My guess is that she's getting ready for the 6th try. A couple of times in previous months she got there about a week early too..

That's what I'm thinking too. Last month she was there also a week before they actually did the transer and stuff... It is sad though and I hope we are wrong.

I know this might be her 5th/6th try, but I thought she only had one embryo left in a NY clinic. That's what she kept saying. So what's happened now? Did they create more? I thought Rene had become infertile after having Cancer treatment.

People made their own conclusions about the whole one embryo thing. All that they meant with that was that there was one embryo left from the first round of IVF when she had RC. Celine never said that she only had one chance and one embryo. The truth is that most woman have to go through IVF a few times before it actually works. I'm sure Celine and Rene was prepared for this the first time when they did this. So they must have frozen some of Rene sperm back then when she got pregnant with RC. Plus, as far as I know, you only become temporarily sterile from cancer treatments. Celine was lucky with RC and they froze the one embryo that was left from that round, but obviously she went through the whole process (maybe even more than once) before the transfers they did in the last couple of months. My guess is that she even did for the August one, because they don't implant only one embryo at a time, but ussually about three (dependeing on some factors like the woman's size and stuff) .

No problem. Glad I could help. My best friend's aunt had to go through IVF and because we are both huge Celine fans we actually got interested in the whole process and how it works. Plus, my friend studied Biochemistry and Anatomy, so I learned a lot from her. IVF is actually a very intersting process. Sometimes very sad, but interesting...
