over 100 Dutch people???!!! WTF, lol?!!! :clap:

 

Guess half of the Netherlands is going to Vegas than???

Like with a number of special shows of "A New Day..." (like with the final show), the Dutch fanclub again managed to get 100 seats exclusively for Dutch/Belgian fans for the premiere..

 

I was wondering if I would be sitting alone

 

 

So at least 200 hard core fans at the premiere? the ca. 100 people from here and 100 from Netherlands? (I didn't count)

In it was a bottle of the first Céline Dion perfume, AND Program, One Heart album (it was the day after the release I think, I didn't buy the cd as I suspected this gift ), a welcome letter (if I remember correctly) a Chrysler key ring.

It's official now: I'll be there on the 15th too - seats "unknown" though as, again, I got my tix from vegas.com.

 

Unfortunately they don't have section A for this show anymore so, if nothing unexpected happen, I'll be sitting somewhere in rear Orch.

 

Still, I'm more than happy to say that I'm indeed going to PREMIERE!!!! OMG! :clap:

lol yeah, i loved beings at the shows, but the audience wasn't always the best audience haha...

i still can't believe i'll be at the premiere

IMHO the best audience is a quiet audience, who is really enjoying the show without singing, dancing, etc... Just like sitting in the opera, really enjoying a true masterpiece with all your heart but quietly an reserved.

Well, that is nice, but in this case, if the audience is quiet then you know that they are not big fans.

There are some songs of hers that are just great to sit and watch and listen (and drool).

I can't help but want to get up and clap for the upbeat one's though

Well, i remember my first vegas show, celine came up, i was standing clapping and cheering, and the guy next to me said: You're not gonna act that way the whole show he? I was like did he really said that to me!? haha

My point is i cannot wait to see the show with more then 100 fans at once ;-)

 

Business people should buy the dvd and watch it at home, where they can pee, eat and sleep...

It seems european audiences give much more respect in that regard. I saw Britney Spears in Paris and Chicago on her last tour and much preferred Paris because it was calm and people showed immense respect.

I agree with you. I want to focus on Céline and only her

 

When I saw her in London 1999 there were these two woman behind me that were singing along with her all the time... not voices that I wanted to hear along with Célines

 

But I also hate when people act like they are bored. I want to see some excitement and clapping (when it fits) and huge smiles on the faces. Otherwise you can just go home

I also DETEST when people sing along! I paid to hear the artist sing, not out of tune amateurs! lol There were 2 women at the 31 aug Montréal show who were talking, talking, and talking in front of me (one had awful hair!). I asked them to quiet down.

Don't get me wrong, I do love a good party from time to time (though you'll never find me dancing, singing (except once in 5th & 6th grade when I was part of our school choir and when we even gave perfomances , etc...) but I guess it's my nature that I like concerts and performances more when the audience is quiet so you can really enjoy the performance to the fullest. Especially when it's an all seated audience. During festivals like Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, TW Classic, etc... I expect that there is a party going, otherwise it wouldn't be a festival

 

Regarding the difference between Europe & the USA/Canada: A (seated) concert in Europe (and especially in the Francophone speaking countries) is totally different from a concert in the US. However, you'll find a difference in Europe to. Take the same concert in Amsterdam, Antwerp/Brussels and Paris and you'll find different audiences... The concert in the Netherlands will be more cheerfull then the concert in Antwerp or Brussels and Paris. But I guess it's part of our lifestyles. And actually it's rather strange because some of the most famouse dance music finds it origin in Belgium. And if you go to see a concert of let's say Milk Inc. (they started to perform once each year in the Sportpalais for about 17.000 people, now they perform each year for more then 100.000 people in only a few days time and during those days the Sportpalais is one hell of a party temple). Maybe the Europeans know better when to be quiet and when to party? (no offence guys)

 

But since it will be the openingshow I expect it to be loud and cheerfull... And actually I don't mind at all. Being at the openingshow is an opurtunity that you won't get every day. However, if the show will be like I think it will be made, it could be very quiet in the audience

On the contrary... If the audience is quiet it can also mean that everyone is astonished about her performance...

 

You know, if an artist can get a whole place to silence it means that he or she is performing to such a level that everyone is sitting there with his or her mouth wide open Which could certainly be the case in the setup she will be performing in Vegas... I've been to multiple concerts where up tempo numbers where changed a bit and the singer brought it either accoustic or with an orchestra... If it's done right, it will be amazing... But to succeed every single song has to be re-written and not just being used "off the shell". If they will do it right, i'm pretty sure it will make the media arround the globe (together with our picture from our meeting ofcourse ).

I'm one of those people who wants to dance/jump/sing/clap...

I prefer a real concert because it gives you more freedom to go crazy...however the few shows in 2007 were amazing..the fans rocked th frontORCH!! It was so much fun

did you sit next to me at the 2nd to last show??? or maybe 3rd to last?? seriously if you did I didn't put a name with a face .... but someone totally pulled the hair of the girl next to me. too bad because the night before everyone was totally having fun in that section. the people in front of us were standing too, what did they expect us to do, sit and not be able to see? they were very rude about it.

 

I don't like to stand and get excited the whole show but during LCMM and RDMH, of course
