SlovakClark Posted February 15, 2010 at 06:43 PM Posted February 15, 2010 at 06:43 PM Avatar DOES have nice visuals, which I must admit made for a pretty interesting fantasy world. But it seems like most people were focused on that and not more important aspects of the film. Like I said before, the plot was no different from other films in the past. of course there was no different from other films plots, but that was the point. Thats what exactly Cameron looking for- traditional story to catch many many people otherwise it wont be so popular. U know, it is not easy to restart your career after movie like Titanic, he knows that so he must bring something like that. U can say he dont have to, but we are talking about iron Jim U can love or hate that movie but... how many people in business overwhelm themselfs when it looks like the top of their career is gone? That fact he do that for me is just beyond amazing Quote http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320x240q90/853/qwz9.jpg
Sofie Posted February 16, 2010 at 01:43 PM Posted February 16, 2010 at 01:43 PM I know, and I hate it! But I know that it will go on and on... Quote
PatrickDion22 Posted February 16, 2010 at 04:01 PM Author Posted February 16, 2010 at 04:01 PM I can respect that... I just don't think critics always know what's best and I still can't agree with the belief of a film being "good" just because it was a box office hit. Well said. Lol, I still disagree, but I completely respect your opinion. Quote Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/patjsully

f_leary Posted March 24, 2010 at 12:47 AM Posted March 24, 2010 at 12:47 AM i vote for Avatar over Titanic... i particularly like the environmental theme and then racism contexts... who would have imagined sigourney weaver wearing this, and only this...hehe Quote
