I agree. Than again no one ever said(or wrote) she would sing or be live anywhere tonight. It's just what I was expecting and what I had read all along. A message in english and probably a message in french later on(we'll see).

She's on the air right now with a french message. She said about the same things that she said in english(it was taped at the same time I guess). Hosts of the show Luck Mervill and France Beaudoin just annouced that the couple(Céline&René) was giving 500,000$ for Haîti. Everyone is very thankfull on TV, France wanted to surprise Luck on the air with this great news. Incidently the singer and host Luck Mervill was born in Port au Prince, Haïti. Another gesture showing her well known generosity. I'm very proud of my Céline!!!!! Everyone give, it's very much needed!

I really like the tone of the "Ensemble pour Haïti" telethon. It's like a huge people celebration of solidarity and love. It's very festive in a way, just like the Haïtian folks are. I love it! So many artists are participating in this, that they have to share the stage with others that they have never worked with in the past. It's an eclectic mix of great artists putting their egos aside and sharing their talent for this great cause. There also are emotional moments of course and I find it very unique and great!!! Congrats to all involved!!!

The last donation number for the Québec "Ensemble pour Haïti" telethon is $4,992,992 million plus Québécor média's Chairman and President of TVA Pierre-Karl Péladeau just added his donation of $500,000 on top of this for a final $5,492,897.
