Yip, definitely something soccer related. I actually spoke to Celine's publicist today. It might turn out bigger than we originally planned lol! We are working on something... It might have two purposes in the end. A bit of charity work too...

Please explain exactly what your idea is, I am trying to picture it.

I'm sure we will get it done in the next week or so. I'm not sure if it will reach you guys that quick though (because I assume we have to mail it to you guys).

 

While Celine was here in SA, she visited an orphanage in Soweto (I'm sure you guys know about this) and she promised to give them R300000 every year for five years. The money they basically use for kids parties an that type of thing for the children. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but SA hosts the Soccer World Cup this year, so Celine recently said that she want the parties to have a soccer theme this year. Since we couldn't get enough people together here in SA to do the video, I thought that we should get the kids at this orphanage involve in the video. It will also give them a chance to give something back to her. So this morning I phoned the orphange and asked them if they would like to be part of it. The woman was ecstatic and said any time. So she got hold of Celine's publicist for me and told her about it. Celine's publicist phoned me back and said that she likes the idea a lot. So now I've come up with something else. We can turn this thing into a charity type of thing at the same time. Tomorrow we are going to phone McDonalds and Coca Cola and see if they would like to help us. We thought that McDonalds could sponser the kids with a meal for the day and since Coca Cola is one of the big sponsers of the soccer, we are going to ask them if they would sponser each kid with a soccer ball and shirts and stuff. So for the film, we are going to try and film it at one of the stadiums they are going to use in the soccer world cup. The idea is to give every child a ball and then we are going to let them run onto the field (like a match) and place their balls on the ground in the middle of the field spelling the words ''Happy Birthday (Celine)''.

 

It obviously depend on whether or not we can get the people to work with us on this.

I don't how it will fit in the final film, but it's worth to try !

WOW, Claudette! I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the result. It does sound amazing.

 

Aicee, the final deadline is end of February. If we could extend it, trust me we would. If we get the last videos at the end of February, that will only give us a month to make the movie... this is almost too short already.

 

We have to favour quality over quantity. We can't afford to have 20 countries but a not-so-good final movie...

 

I hope you understand. But if you think you can make it in 3 weeks, please, please try to make it.

We are on to plan B. The companies doesn't want to help us. They all say it is to short notice and that we should have asked earlier. So we'll probably do something smaller.

China will do something this week, fingers crossed.

 

BUT, I have no news about american's and canadian's videos.... I'm just a little afraid...

We begun the promotion of the film on the web and particulary on Facebook. But I see almost no american fans (from here) clicked on "will participate", except Koolan that I recognized.

 

So, I did not understand why you don't help this project, but I guess you have your reason.
