Hey everyone,

 

I'm watching CTTEOTW; and I saw Celine's hair in Kuala Lumpur to be reminiscient of her LTAL hair do check those 2 pics; she looks gorgeous wish she had kept them like that all tour-long

 

She looks so lovely.

It's strange but I don't get them. When I switch the subtitles off there are none of them.

 

I have the same trouble with my French Autour du Monde DVD.

 

In fact on that DVD when I choose no subtitles I sometimes see some black boxes, and other times there is white text!

 

On my French Autour du Monde DVD when I choose no subtitles, I don't have any white text. I sometimes see some black boxes only for French words that aren't spoken that loud like when Céline has trouble with her voice and says "Je ne sais pas à quel prix c'est fait" to Rollande. I get those again when the mic isn't close enough I guess, like when she meets the woman in the weel chair after the show. I have them a couple of times again when the language isn't in French nor English, like the woman in Dubaï or for our forum friend from Italy who got the chance to meet and sing with Céline when she speaks Italian to present herself(I have the French translation in those black boxes).

 

I haven't read here for a while so maybe I don't understand well what some of you are talking about but I have no trouble with mine. I feel my DVD is just perfect for me when I choose no subtitles as I understand French and English but those two languages only.

I think she had "hair-malfunction" in Malaysia....

IMO it looks terrible! It looks like very dry.....I know that in countries like Malaysia and Indonesia it's very hard to do something with your hear, coz of the weather. Always thought this was also the reason her hair looked like this (and only there).

I'm going to have to agree with you...it does not look so good. You could see before the concert that it was SO big, and the way it fell by the end of the show and stayed frizzed out was not intentional. At least I hope not.

I don't know if it's on the standard edition of the DVD movie; I have the deluxe edition with the 52-page booklet where R,RC,C wrote notes for each others; I'm happy I got this edition the 52 page booklet is worth every penny.

Not the purchase of it but RC is definetely using it at one point. I don't understand, are you saying you have miss this part? I think there is one pic of the family shopping for it though in Gérard's "Céline autour du monde" book.

I just got it!!! I bought the English version from Amazon.co.uk. I can't watch it cause I have to work, but one quick question: on the back it says the book has 48 pages. Wasn't it supposed to be 52?

First of all, the English concert is the same as the French one, except the French songs were replaced with the English ones from Taking Chances. But all the other older English songs are exactly the same recordings! That just pissed me off. Why do they feel the need to lie like that. Just say it's one concert and that's it. It's not the fact that they did it, but the fact that they lie about it, saying you're gonna see 2 different concerts.

 

Secondly: the movie is OK, but they waste time with all those live songs, which are exactly the same on both the Frech and English concert DVDs.

 

They had thousands of hours of footage, they took a year and a half to release it and this is the best they could come up with??? Aslo, the way they put everything together is so film school-like. I understand Celine and Rene wanted to promote Quebec people, but they should've gone with a team that's specialized in this sort of thing and could've done a better job. I'm so sorry, I was really looking forward to it, and it's a big dissapointment.

 

Other than the songs, the footage was very nice. I loved RC and Rene interracting on the golf course. And that kid's got some voice! At 7! If he chooses to follow music, I think he'd do just great. The only thing is that I can barely understand RC when he's speaking French. It's like Chinese or something most of the time.

 

I loved the live footage from South Africa, I loved all the bits of songs she does during rehearsing and stuff.

The doctor stuff I found.... a bit much, but hey, now we now exactly were that amazing voice comes from.

Love how she and Rene are together, they're just such sweethearts. Love the way she's teasing him Love how much attention she gives to her team.

 

I know Celine shares with her fans more than any other artist ever and she's totally great. That's why I'm upset they couldn't get her a team as amazing as she is to do these DVDs.

Anyway, by watching this film I realized that Celine has the same scaramantic gesture I have when I'm boarding on an airplane: I touch it two or three times with my hand while I'm entering!

Then this summer I'm going to be in the same Pizza Express they went in London! We'll see if the best pizza in the world could be there... eheh

I discover it now, because I only got the DVDs now, getting it was hard work I know there's a complain topic, thank you, I didn't want to go there, didn't want to go down that road and see even more things that could be wrong with it and I didn't notice, and because I never ever criticized a release like that, but this one pissed me off. Also, I loved some of things in the movie, that didn't fit into a complain topic. And it's in spoiler because there are still people that didn't get the deluxe yet and I didn't want them to have an opinion formed before they see it.
