I Love You Posted May 23, 2010 at 05:48 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 05:48 AM (edited) Anyone else notice in TTEOTW after they go to the wax statue unvieling that when they are in the car RC isn't buckled in his carseat? and the car was moving when he gave Celine a kiss and then got up out of the seat to give Rene two kisses and then grins at the camera and sits back in his carseat. I thought that was weird to, I mean isn't not safe to let your child do that in car. We have laws hear to. wear they going slow, or not. Side note I always wear my seatbelt, when I'm in my car at all times. The only time I don't, is when I take the bus to work. It's safe to do that, what would happen if you were in the car for a short distance and got in a car crash what then. Edited May 23, 2010 at 05:48 AM by I Love You Quote

Yeah I think RC should definately have had his seatbelt on in the car. It doesn't matter how old you are or how fast you're going, it's the law in almost every country. He had a car seat, but that's useless if he's not strapped into it. Quote
Claudette Posted May 23, 2010 at 10:27 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 10:27 AM Tim, what did your parents think of the movie? Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Timster Posted May 23, 2010 at 10:53 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 10:53 AM Tim, what did your parents think of the movie? Well my mum saw the movie at the cinema with me in February, but both my parents really liked the DVD version! The only thing they didn't like (and I agree with them) was all the songs they added, cos I showed them the concert DVD last weekend. We actually pressed 'fast forward' during TC, Alone, EOM and ML cos apart from the end of ML when there was some backstage footage, it was identical to what we saw last week so that made the movie a bit boring. But apart from the boring extra songs, it was great. I think my parents appreciate her as a singer and as a person now - they're not gonna make fun of me for liking her anymore! Quote
vroni Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:01 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:01 AM aww that sounds nice, I can't wait to show it to my family in summer. Claudette Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:16 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:16 AM (edited) I've been thinking about the extra songs and I have a feeling that they did not originally plan to release a concert DVD. That is why there are some full songs on the DVD. That is just what I suspect anyway. My parents also saw the movie. My dad loved it (but he loves Celine and thinks she is the hottest singer out there ), my mom was not so into it, but she doesn't like Celine that much. I think that she has more respect for her now though. My dad was so fascinated with the whole thing. He loved the jaw popping scene and he laughed so hard when she told the doctor: ''Now it's my turn.'' I'm a bit pissed at my best friend. She claims to be one of Celine's biggest fans and stuff. So last week we did like the whole movie thing and she made me skip many of the parts and she didn't even watch the whole movie. After two hours she said she had to go home. She was one of the people complaining the most about the fact that it was not shown in cinemas here, but she still hasn't even bought a copy and she doesn't really seem to care... Timster Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:50 AM Posted May 23, 2010 at 11:50 AM I've been thinking about the extra songs and I have a feeling that they did not originally plan to release a concert DVD. That is why there are some full songs on the DVD. That is just what I suspect anyway. Well I think they were definately planning to release a concert DVD, but I think the 2 hour version of TTEOTW was the 'normal' version. It's quite obvious as the songs had been nicely shortened, and they had backstage scenes during most of the songs. It was perfect. In the 3hr version, it's really obvious how they just stuck in TC, Alone, EOM and My Love. The EOM intro was good to watch because of the costume change, and the very end of ML had some different scenes, but the rest was just copied and pasted from the concert footage so it makes it quite boring to watch these over and over. I wish the new songs could be more like JIOTI, where it was shortened and contained a mix of concert and backstage footage... I think the extra & full length songs really slows the documentary down. I think I would rather have the 2hr version + the extra backstage scenes. Quote
Claudette Posted May 23, 2010 at 12:05 PM Posted May 23, 2010 at 12:05 PM I guess we will never know. But when I spoke to some guy from Sony SA, it was very clear to me that their main focus was the movie. I think they thought that most people will go for the movie, so they added the live songs to give it a bit more balance. By the way, from that scene in ''Pizza Express'', I get the feeling that RC has a very special place in Nick's heart too... Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

Claudette Posted May 23, 2010 at 12:42 PM Posted May 23, 2010 at 12:42 PM I just checked, he did have his seat belt on before that scene: the one where they are talking about the medal. I know some people are gonna disagree with me on this, but I think a seat belt is a 50/50 thing: sometimes it can save your lifve, but other times it can cost you your life. A couple of years ago my dad was in a huge head on collision and luckily he didn't have his seat belt on. I say luckily because if he did he could have been killed. Because he didn't have his seat belt on he was swung from the car on impact and he only broke his leg. I can actually show you guys some picture of the front of the car. There was no way he would have survived that had he his safety belt on. Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

I thought I would only watch the half of it tonight and continue later on, but once I got into it I just couldn't stop! It was magnificent! I laughed, had tears in my eyes and most of the time just smiled. And this was the first time I could hear what she actually said in Helsinki, I had no idea she had said the "is that alright Helsinki?" in the beginning of the concert in FINNISH! It was awesome to hear! Céline. Oh and René-Charles's so adorable. angelil78 Posted May 23, 2010 at 08:48 PM Posted May 23, 2010 at 08:48 PM Ok wondering In the booklet of the Deluxe version it said that they had a private teacher for 3 kids of the family Michel, Manon and Linda do not have any Patrick has two but we only see them in Paris running around with RC. I don't think they were with his dad through the entire tour Then there is Lucas, Denis and Julies son and there is one other boy that we see at the chocolate factory and then when RC is in Australia with the snake. Do you know who's kid that is? It's not Patricks son. Quote
