Although I love them all, Try sleep with a broken heart, Empire state Of mind (part II) Doesn't mean anything and put it in a love song.....are my favourites

got her new album a couple of days ago for my birthday & i cant stop listening to it :kicking:

and i absoloutely loved her performance with Jay-Z in NY but i do think i prefer her own version of Empire State of Mind Part II :wub:

is it because her voice is 2 raspy? cuz my friend is always like "I hate her raspy voice!" & it just cracks me up even though shes 1 of my favorites, but its ok cuz people have their own opinion

I can't believe nobody post anything in this off topic since 2011???? Nobody listened to Girl on Fire... After that little crap it was Element of Freedom, this album it's so great, with amazing songs!

And this afternoon I was a little bored so I started to explore youtube and I remembered looking videos for Jake Bugg, that there was Itunes Festival 2012 videos of the whole shows, so I found the Alicia Keys concert, full... Not very good quality... but an amazing concert

And I'd been thinking about Celine during the concert. When I watch this amazing concerts it's like "Hell!! what's wrong with Celine???!!!" So many times I hear that we are all tired of hear always the same songs in Celine concerts... but I think that the point is that we are tired of hear the SAME song since it was recorded. You can hear The Power of Love or Because you Loved Me in 1999 concert and in 2006 and in 2013 and it's the same f***ing song with the same style and the same arrangements... But you hear this amazing concert where Alicia sings her classics but all sounds kind of different, kind of new, little variations here and there.... She knows what she wants to sing and how she feels it in this moment. She gives all in the stage, even if she loses her voice for one moment. I'm sorry but watching these concerts it's when I think that the "haters" are right... this is why Celine is not fully respected in music industry, sometimes she is like an officer. She goes, sings all the songs the same they were in the past, no new feelings, with all the notes in the right place, when she is not lip sync...

And this is not completely Celine's fault. We can hear the soundcheck where she feels free and normally she sings in a very interesting way improvising... but then, in the show... everything must sound very artificial... for me it's a pitty...

A little off topic but I simply adore raspy voice (both male and female). It's hard to imagine some people dislike it.

Alicia will be touring Europe soon, anyone here going to attend any of her shows over here???

Thanks to the presale on Alicia'a website, I was lucky to got a seat in the front row for her show in Cologne, that will be stunning, I already know it!! :wub:

I was unfortunate to miss her previous tours so this will be my 1st time of seeing her live on stage and that from such a great seat, omg! :spaz:

Alicia was on my want-to-hear-live list for a long time, can't wait for the show in June! :wub:
