Well, I didn't go to a private school - so this is all new to me. I went to a public school... and yes there was a dress code, and certain restrictions here and there -- but never anything about what length your hair had to be. I would have been so mad if my school told me to cut my hair! LOL. Everyone freaks out if Céline cuts off all of her hair and dyes it blonde... and no one can seem to decide whether or not they like RC with long hair or short hair. It's never really mattered that much to me... I didn't go to a Private School either...but a Catholic one...so I kind of grew up in a bubble LOL. It made me mad too. The dress code, that is. I actually liked the Christian/stricter environment, but I think kids should be allowed to express their individuality, and taught not to judge others by the way they look. Quote

Some of us just happen to disagree with it. No big deal. Exactly, not a big deal. We're just discussing. I never really understood all of the rules schools have sometimes... like what does your haircut have to do with learning? And I agree, kids should be able to express their individuality. There are certain rules that should be enforced, such as appropriate clothing, etc. But some things should be left up to the kids to decide for themselves (or the parents)... it's all a part of growing up and discovering who you are. But I'm assuming that Céline and René picked this school specifically for RC, and knew of all the requirements - and if they agree with them, then that's all that matters. Quote

I think this will be good for him, he is a kid and has to realize just because his mom is famous and has a lot of money that doesn't mean he can get anything and everything he wants. Though Celine could provide anything he desired, within reason that is. I'm sure he does understand he is very privleged and generally not everyone is as blessed as he is and don't have all the nice things he has. Having to cut his hair is another thing, it makes him realize he won't always be able to have long hair. Not every school allows long hair, and if he ever has to get a job by choice or not. he might not be able to have long hair. Especially if its a professional setting he would be working in. I hope that what I said came out right, I don't want it to sound like I'm saying RC is a brat and he should have been forced to cut his hair. Because that's not what I'm saying. I'm trying to say that this hair cutting situation has probably given him a reality check and made him realize he won't always be able to get his way. It is true, I personally know friends who gave their kids anything and everything they want and they are some of the worst behaved children I've seen. Now before anyone jumps down my throat. I simply said we do not really know how RC acts, I am sure RC is very well behaved. I personally think from the photo's and footage we've saw of RC that is he an extremely sweet, well behaved, thoughtful and caring little boy and Celine has done a wonderful job with the way he has been raised. I went to a Private School up until 10th grade, and we never had anything about cutting our hair The only thing is, no weird #ss colours in our hair, but it could be any length! Quote
