Matej Posted September 3, 2009 at 08:39 AM Posted September 3, 2009 at 08:39 AM Can't wait for Celine's interpretation on "tu n'es pas l'amour de ma vie, tu es la vie de mon amour". I'm fall in love! Quote
Céline's Blues Posted September 3, 2009 at 11:01 AM Posted September 3, 2009 at 11:01 AM Lyrically weak. I expected Ferland to be better than that BUT as this song wasn't explicitely written for Celine in first place he still may give her some true gems like Ma Chambre. At this point you can let RC write a song for her that had words AMOUR FAMILLIE HOMME ENFANT in it and she will sing it while being in seventh heaven. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
luciusbright Posted September 3, 2009 at 12:11 PM Posted September 3, 2009 at 12:11 PM I am a little bit confused by the lyric, so a person is saying he doesn't need love, but that's a lie, actually he desires love so badly???? Quote S'il suffisait d'aimer...
Lou555 Posted September 3, 2009 at 12:37 PM Posted September 3, 2009 at 12:37 PM I am a little bit confused by the lyric, so a person is saying he doesn't need love, but that's a lie, actually he desires love so badly???? In the interview Ferland gave to those radio hosts he actuallly said that this song is antinomic really, because though it says “I don’t need love” it really means the opposite here. Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted September 3, 2009 at 05:52 PM Posted September 3, 2009 at 05:52 PM (edited) A bit too cliched for a French song. Looking at the title, I was expecting something rebellious, something provocative. Anyway, I am really excited about the song. If the lyrics are know then we shouldn't need to wait so long for the song itself, right? Hopefully it will be released as a new french single. "Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour"(I do not need love) was sung by Ferland himself during his tribute show. It was then sent to René Angélil, who, after listening, was quick to interrupt Céline's golf game so she could hear the surprise. Immediate phone call to Ferland: "I want it" she said. "I'll probably write several songs for Celine. She cries often, and I like it! She and Rene are very sensitive, they tear easily and when we do something for them, they have a way to appreciate that makes one feel good. It's wonderful to see one of the greatest singers in the world and one of the greatest impresarios still be true and sincere."------------------ Also, in the interview Ferland did on Rythme FM Radio, JP said he had sent the song about a month ago and when René called he apologized for not listening to it before saying he had the song on his desk but we're all on vacation he said and Céline doesn't want to hear anything about work. And then as we all know now Céline called Jean-Pierre Ferland and told him how touched she was that he had written a song for her and how moved she was by this song. Then later JP said he learned about Celine’s pregnancy and he understood even better her reaction. He says this song is antinomic because though it says “I don’t need love” it really means the opposite. The three radio hosts had apparently the chance to listen to his version of that song before talking with him and they seemed to have appreciated it quite a lot. I don't think this French cd will be out soon but obviously they have to think about it and prepare for when she comes back. Those things can not be done at the last minute considering Ferland and others have to write those new songs. To be followed… Edited September 5, 2009 at 06:35 PM by Lou555 Quote

Céline's Blues Posted September 6, 2009 at 01:14 AM Posted September 6, 2009 at 01:14 AM The album will be excellent cuzz Ferland is de facto the next best thing after Goldman. NOBODY else knows her as good as Goldman artistically...but her Quebec heart is captured by Ferland perfectly with his lyrics. Expect something huge. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

Gicedi Posted September 9, 2009 at 06:49 PM Posted September 9, 2009 at 06:49 PM I m so excited!!! I love Celine's French carreer! I think its much better than English!! More artistic, more interesting! I thing that the most masterpieces of her career are French. Remember: Marnay's songs, L'amour existe encore, Je sais pas, Vole, Je crois toi, S'il suffisait d'aimer, Tout les blues sont ecrits pout toi, Ziggy and so many others! And Jean-Pierre is a great artist!!! I wish for a French album with JP and JJ Goldman! Both. And i'd like her to record in studio alone the AMAZING Un peu plus haut un peu plus loin and the Duet with JP from the concert in Canada, but studio version... I'd like het to work with Calogero too!! He writes great songs!!! Quote https://youtu.be/D2KKDewXvJE
