A New French Album Will Come...

Hi guys!

 

According to this article, J.P. Ferland ("Ma Chambre", "Une Chance qu'on s'a", ...) wrote a new song called "Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour" (I don't need love) for the next french album!

Isn't that a little bit early to have a new album in mind? Anyway, this song is supposed to be the first song recorded for this new project, and J.P. Ferland will probably write other songs.

 

A baby, a new album, a DVD, a book, and many re-release : who said Celine was in vacation?

Ferland écrit pour Céline Dion

 

Céline Dion va chanter au moins une chanson, probablement davantage, de Jean-Pierre Ferland sur son prochain album en français. Ferland lui-même l'a confirmé lundi dans une entrevue à La Presse que vous pourrez lire samedi à propos de son nouvel album de duos: Bijoux de famille - Duos Ferland.

 

Sorti de sa retraite pour chanter sur les plaines d'Abraham avec Céline Dion en 2008, Ferland est réapparu au Théâtre Saint-Denis le 25 avril dernier, le temps de chanter avec des artistes qui lui rendaient hommage à l'occasion des 10 ans de la radio Rythme FM. C'est ce soir-là qu'il a créé la chanson Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour qui sera du prochain album de Céline Dion.

 

«Cette nouvelle chanson, que j'aime beaucoup, je l'ai chantée seul au Saint-Denis, mais je voulais qu'elle soit sur l'album de duos, a confirmé Ferland. Je l'ai envoyée à (l'attachée de presse) Francine Chaloult, et Francine l'a envoyée à Céline. Pendant un certain temps, je n'ai pas eu de nouvelles. Puis, un jour, le téléphone a sonné, c'était René (Angélil). Il a pleuré au téléphone: «Jean-Pierre, je viens d'écouter ta chanson, c'est un choc. J'ai appelé Céline (qui joue au golf), je lui ai dit: viens tout de suite, tu vas avoir toute une surprise.»»

 

Ferland poursuit: «Céline m'a rappelé et m'a dit: «Jean-Pierre, t'as écrit cette chanson-là pour moi, je n'ai jamais entendu une belle chanson comme ça, je l'enregistre tout de suite!» Comme elle m'a dit qu'elle l'enregistrait, je ne pouvais pas la mettre sur mon album. Mais elle sera sur le prochain disque de Céline. C'est la première chanson qu'elle va enregistrer.»

 

Ferland devrait écrire d'autres chansons pour cet album de Céline Dion. «Je pense bien, René m'a dit que je collaborerais au disque de Céline», a-t-il dit.

 

Il y a quand même sur l'album Bijoux de famille - Duos Ferland une trace de Céline Dion. Miosa, une toute jeune chanteuse, y reprend Ma chambre, que Ferland a écrite pour Céline à l'époque d'Incognito.

According to JP his song will be the first one she'll record... and he might write more songs for her new french album...

I just got this on my e-mail, Google Alerts. It's cool! He writes very nice songs, but a bit.. old, you know what I mean. It will sell well in Quebec, medium in France, and not at all anywhere else. I want something in French that will rock and reach no. 1 in the UK again .

Then again, I always found Celine's French work better than her Enlish work, at least for the fact that she has authors that actually write especially for her, and you can really hear that in the lyrics.

Sounds great, BUT let's let her enjoy being pregnant and then spending time with the new baby and RC for awhile before we wish her back into the music scene. She deserves this baby more than we deserve a new song and I think we should let her know we realize that.

I heard that on the radio Rythme fm Montréal this morning!!!!!!!!!!!

So he sang this song at Saint-Denis at his concerts, and wanted this song to be on his duets album.

but now it will be used for Celine's next french album...

 

i wonder when that will be, cant imagne her recording a cd when she pregnant. I dont know what to expect from sony and celine, the dvd, christmas album i rather hear no news, then some rumours haha

LOL yeah! look at Sous le vent... céline recorded that song when she was pregant and she sounds amazing on it!

 

but as soon as possible could mean; when the child is born and céline is ready to work again, so who knows this album might be released in 2011

but on the other hand, she had breaks earlier, and came with at least 'something' and what davey said, this album could still be released in 2011, just like the christmas cd in 2012 en the dvd in 2125...

 

i just want some facts on when where etc, and not oh she will record the song, someday.

and i know i wont get that, so it will be a suprise when we get the official word! i can't remember how it went with D'elles, there were rumours first in the canadian press right?

Hey, I'm sure she likes being on a break and recording when she feels like it and at her own pace. And without worrying about anything else.

We know Céline normally gets into a studio and gets her job done in a flash... But now she can record a few songs slowly for her future French album - AND without any pressure! She probably enjoys it much more this way...

Celine sings well in whatever language she sings, but there is a certain magic to her voice when she sings in french. There is a different kind of power to her voice when she sings in English.
