Is Celine invited or is she planning to come to the Michael J. memorial/funeral?

Hi,

 

I just read Mariah Carey will probably performing I'll be there at the Michael Jackson memorial tomorrow.

I wonder is Celine one of the guests?

it's a private funeral, I don't think Celine will be there. To me it doesn't seem like she was that great of friends with Michael. Yes she met him a few times, they worked on some songs together but it doesn't look like they were that close and she hasn't indicated she'd spoken to him in recent years.

The funeral is obviously private.... but the memorial @ the staple centre, said artists would pay tribute and so far only Mariah has been confirmed, so its possible I guess... Edited by Ire23

Yes, the funeral is a private family event.

 

The memorial service, which will be held at the Staple Center, with live stream to neighboring Nokia Theatre and live broadcast via television worldwide will be a public event, starting at 1:00PM tomorrow.

 

Jennifer Hudson was the first confirmed to perform, as selected by the Jackson family themselves.

 

Grammy Award producer Ken Ehrlich is the producer of the Memorial Service.

 

Expect to see Diana Ross, Elizabeth Taylor and Paul McCartney there, with McCartney rumored to perform.

 

Personally, I am predicting that Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, P Diddy, Boys II Men will also be there, and might perform.

 

I say that it would a slim chance to see Celine at this event, but I would not say that it's impossible...

If Céline have been invited, I think we have had thought at the begening, so she will be not there tomorrow, It's logical

Celine couldn't just go, she'd have to be invited to the funeral. I don't think the Jackson family will invite her because from what I've seen and what Celine has said they weren't in touch in recent years nor did they see each other. Personally I wouldn't want to see Celine at a funeral, it was bad enough the press followed her to her fathers. I don't want to see photo's of celebs at funerals. It just sad.

I to think it would be silly of her to have given all these interviews on tv, and then stay away from the memorial @ the staples centre, even if she doesn't perform... but I feel she should take part in either tomorrows event, or the event @ the o2 in London which is scheduled to take place in september as a huge tribute concert...

Who knows, I guess we will have to wait and see. If she does go to the memorial event and performs I'll watch.

Well she is not going to the funeral cause its a familiar bussiness and she is not that close with michael jackson...

But ill loved to see her on the memorial i remember that time when she performed bad it was so funny jajaja she did it great...

Celine's people and publicists are saying nothing, which could mean a few things...

She will not be attending, its not yet known whether she will or not, or it could be a surprise appearance.

 

Gotta wait and see I guess!!

She isn't coming. I invited her to Rabunga-Unga. Her flight arrives today in the night. I already prepped the welcoming committee! Only the oldest and most gracious shamans can come.

 

So no, she's not coming to some stupid memorial.

im gonna watch the memorial no matter what, it will be a surprise if Celine is there, Celine is kinda friends with Michael, but it's still a larger chance that Celine is not gonna be there.

Yes it's going to be broadcast, live. ABC, CNN, HLN (formally Headline News), MSNBC, E!, CNN en Espanol and CNN International all plan to broadcast the memorial live, starting at 10 a.m. (PDT).
