I'm pretty upset that Michael is being the only one mentioned on the news and on television. Farrah was also an amazing actress that died. I mean don't get me wrong, Michael was just as important but it makes me upset that they are spending all their energy on him and Farrah isn't getting any recognition at all. That angel was an amazing woman and she deserves some more respect and recognition because of who she was, what she accomplished and how she was so uplifting and brave fighting against her cancer.

I agree! I'm very angry that all anyone cares about is Michael. I was not a fan of his and yes he died, and that is very tragic for his family, children and fans but Farrah fought so hard and so long to beat her illness. Cancer is a very hard thing to have, my mom had it and it's so hard for the person that has it to fight, we think as family and friends that it's hard but you really have no idea until you go through it. They were supposed to do a special in Farrah and Michael on the E channel here today, I watched it thinking they'd have half the show devoted to Farrah. NO they spent a measly five minutes, IF that long on Farrah's part. The entire HOUR pretty much was Michael. I was very upset.

I know...see what I mean. She publicly let people see her when she was vulnerable and when she was strong. Farrah made a name for herself and she enjoyed what she did. She was sweet and honorable, she was strong and gorgeous. She was also very modest and sweet. Farrah was and always will be the "Fantasy" girl and she will always remain in our hearts. It was very heartbreaking to see that news flash across the screen Thursday and I figured that everyone would be talking about her and what a spectacular woman she was but as soon as Michael's death was announced, they just flushed Farrah down the toilet like she didn't even matter....

I thought I learned a lot about Ms. Fawcett when I viewed her documentary of battling cancer, however, this 20/20 special truly gives more insight into the special qualities Ms. Fawcett possessed. I know, in all honesty I tired of hearing about Michael. Don't get me wrong, it is sad that he died but that's ALL that is on the news now. My dad said the National news spent half the show on Michael. Farrah is totally being forgotten, I know I've said that several times but its true.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Redmond O’Neal will be granted a temporary leave from jail to attend the funeral of his mother, Farrah Fawcett, on Tuesday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

 

He will be escorted by two deputies and a sergeant and will be allowed to stay for the entire length of the service, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department spokesperson Steve Whitmore told Access.

 

In addition, Redmond will be permitted to wear a suit instead of his jail uniform. As for handcuffs, “that will be decided tomorrow,” Whitmore added.

 

Funeral services for Farrah, who died on June 26 after a long battle with cancer, will be held on Tuesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, according to the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The former “Charlie’s Angels” star was 62,

 

Redmond, 24, is currently in a court-ordered rehab program at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic, Calif.

 

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department confirmed to Access Hollywood that the last time Redmond saw his mother prior to her death was during a court-approved three-hour visit on April 25.

 

The visit was documented in the late actress’ recent NBC documentary, “Farrah’s Story.”

That's good that they are letting him out to attend. It's sad that that is the only reason that he's being let out though. I can't imagine how he must feel. At least they are treating him like a person for the time being instead of a criminal.

I saw the footage of him visiting his mum just before she passed and they didn't even let him wear a jacket over his jail jumpsuit thing. They also wouldn't take off his leg restraints! You could hear them rattle as he walked to the bed. Thankfully Farrah was sedated and didn't know he was in jail or that he had the shackels on. It broke my heart, he said "Mommy." and laid down beside her and got really close and said "It's Red."
