BLM Posted June 25, 2009 at 12:47 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 12:47 PM I was watching the National News here in the U.S. and they reported that actress Farrah Fawcett may only have hours left to live. Farrah has been battling Cancer for a few years and now is loosing the battle. "In 1976, Fawcett was the pinup girl who launched a million fantasies. The iconic poster with her dazzling smile, cascading golden hair and bombshell body sold an unprecedented 12 million copies, catapulting Fawcett into a sex symbol, idolized by both men and women." http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/4936/farrah.jpg There will be a special TV Show this evening here in the U.S. called "Farrah's Journey: Golden Girl's Iconic Career" done by Barbara Walters. My thoughts & prayers are with Ms. Fawcett, her family and friends. Quote
Lymon Posted June 25, 2009 at 02:38 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 02:38 PM This is just awful. And right after Ryan proposed to her, too. Quote http://i51.tinypic.com/2uf4r5f.png
Belle Céline Posted June 25, 2009 at 03:44 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 03:44 PM I was flipping through channels this morning and on the view they had a clip of Ryan telling Barbra how he told Farrah their son Redman asked if he'd give her a big kiss for him and she said yes so Ryan bent down to give her the kiss and Farrah thought he was Redman and just kept kissing him and rubbing his hair so he just kept letting her think he was Redman, right now Redman is in rehab for drugs and they won't allow him to see her. He has gotten to see her once...I wanted to cry when I saw that clip. Quote “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
BLM Posted June 25, 2009 at 04:51 PM Author Posted June 25, 2009 at 04:51 PM So sorry to hear, Ms. Farrah Fawcett has died, may she rest in peace. She was a true beauty & icon and will be missed. My thoughts & prayers go out to her family and friends. Such a loss....so sad. Again a Farrah Fawcett TV Special with Barbara Walters will be airing here in the U.S. this evening at 10 p.m. EST. whineupemily Posted June 25, 2009 at 04:53 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 04:53 PM There's a piece going on about her going on right now Did any one see the documentary made about her -- "Ferrah's Story"? It was amazing, but i could not make it one minute without crying, so touching yet heart breaking. Even though she knew she was going to die after he proposed, she knew he loves her Quote

It was amazing, but i could not make it one minute without crying, so touching yet heart breaking. Even though she knew she was going to die after he proposed, she knew he loves her Yes, I saw the documentary and I too cried through most of the program. From what previews I have seen of the special airing this evening at 10 p.m. EST, it is even more emotional. Ryan, her long time partner & love, is so emotional during his interview with Barbara Walters. Ms. Fawcett may have been a "Charlie's Angel" on TV, however, she was a true Angel Icon here in the U.S. and adored by many. Quote

SensationalCeline Posted June 25, 2009 at 06:59 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 06:59 PM I was hoping that she was going to make it. Rest In Peace Farrah. I wanted to cry when I heard that she had passed. I watched the documentary that was on like Emily said, Farrah's Story, and it was so sad but she was so optimistic that she was going to beat it. There was hope in her eyes but then again, she knew that the doctors could only do so much. Ryan and her loved each other very much, you could see that. I heard that they let her son out of prison to come and see her before she passed. I haven't really watched anything but Charlies Angels that she was in but she was still an amazing woman and she didn't look 62. Now she is at peace though so that is a good thing. She isn't suffering anymore. Quote http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg280/spoiledrottenbrat4063/Celine%20Dion/CELINESIGGY.jpg

LuisMa Posted June 25, 2009 at 11:45 PM Posted June 25, 2009 at 11:45 PM I feel relieved for her and for her family. Of course that a death is terrible and sad, but knowing that she was in so much pain and suffering it is actually a happy situation that her pain is relieved and she's gone to a better place now. Poor Redman and Ryan. Going to record the special tonight....too difficult to watch right now. I know how you feel. I watched my husband die of cancer. Going through that experience changed me forever. Hearing of the loss of Farrah & Michael today has been really difficult. Crying most of the day, not for me, for the family and friends of the deceased as I can truly say I know what they are going through. Quote

Belle Céline Posted June 26, 2009 at 03:52 PM Posted June 26, 2009 at 03:52 PM yes, I think it should be changed to reflect the year she was born and died. I hope that people don't forget to honor Farrah's memory now that another celebrity has passed. SensationalCeline Posted June 27, 2009 at 07:32 PM Posted June 27, 2009 at 07:32 PM I'm pretty upset that Michael is being the only one mentioned on the news and on television. Farrah was also an amazing actress that died. I mean don't get me wrong, Michael was just as important but it makes me upset that they are spending all their energy on him and Farrah isn't getting any recognition at all. That angel was an amazing woman and she deserves some more respect and recognition because of who she was, what she accomplished and how she was so uplifting and brave fighting against her cancer. This damn disease has taken another. We must find a cure. Farrah RIP," Christina Applegate tweets about the late actress' death. © Glenn Harris/PR Photos Paula Abdul and Christina Applegate are among the first stars who give instant reaction upon learning news of Farrah Fawcett's death. Rocker Shooter Jennings, Disney teen star Miley Cyrus, and director-producer Adam Shankman are some other Hollywood famous figures who pay tributes to the late actress, who was dubbed sex symbol back in her younger years. Applegate, who is a cancer survivor herself, tweets, "Today please donate money to a great cancer organization for research. This damn disease has taken another. We must find a cure. Farrah RIP." As for Abdul, she writes on her Twitter account, "What a wonderful, beautiful woman inside & out. Kind as can be, an amazing fighter who always kept hope in her heart. We can all learn a lot from her tremendous will to keep on fighting. God Bless You Farrah & may she finally rest in peace." Jennings, meanwhile, writes, "Goodbye Farrah!!! Like a kazillion other guys I once loved you!!! Sleep well. The battle is over." 16-year-old actress-singer Cyrus tweets, "GOD bless Miss. Fawcett. What a beautiful woman. She will be admired forever." In addition to those tributes, Shankman writes, "Farewell Farrah. Forever you will be an angel here on earth, and now in heaven. We'll miss u." Farrah Fawcett lost her battle against anal cancer, which she was first diagnosed with in 2006, and was pronounced dead on Thursday, June 25 at 9:28 A.M. She was 62 and is survived by son Redmond James O'Neal, whom she has with longtime partner Ryan O'Neal. A funeral service reportedly has been planned to be held at a Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days. Quote http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/7105/mybannerglitter7cb00b87.gif
BLM Posted June 27, 2009 at 11:20 PM Author Posted June 27, 2009 at 11:20 PM I don't know if any of you got the chance to see the Barbara Walters 20/20 Farrah Fawcett Special. I just finished viewing the full special on ABC's website. I thought I learned a lot about Ms. Fawcett when I viewed her documentary of battling cancer, however, this 20/20 special truly gives more insight into the special qualities Ms. Fawcett possessed. What a tragic loss. If you would like to view the special go to the link listed below, cllick on free episodes listed at the top, then click on "20/20" upper left side. http://abc.go.com/ Bubba P.S. I wish one of the moderator's would please change the title of this thread to read "Actress Farrah Fawcett Has Died" Thank you. Quote
