Bellamy Posted November 15, 2009 at 04:17 PM Author Posted November 15, 2009 at 04:17 PM I watched the movie tonight. The special effects are good. BTW, the theater I went to played ONCP album before the movie. I heard 4 Celine songs in a row in the movie theater. I Love You Posted November 15, 2009 at 07:07 PM Posted November 15, 2009 at 07:07 PM It looks okey, but to be Honest the World will not end in 2012. We will still be hear, going our merry way living our same lives. Doing the same jobs as we all do every week. It will be just another hype up fade. Besides the Mayans are a dead civilization long gone. Quote
dj4celine Posted November 15, 2009 at 09:25 PM Posted November 15, 2009 at 09:25 PM It got a limited release here so all the theatres are booked till Wednesday Will have to see it next weekend Quote
Belle Céline Posted November 15, 2009 at 11:35 PM Posted November 15, 2009 at 11:35 PM I saw it last night, its like THREE hours long. They could have cut like forty five minutes to an hour off of it and it would have still been a decent length. It was a great movie, just an hour to long is all. Bralo20 Posted November 16, 2009 at 12:33 PM Posted November 16, 2009 at 12:33 PM I've seen the trailers but I'm not intended to see the movie. Just because I find fantasy and science fiction movies really boring... Hell, once I slept trough a movie which I was forced to go see (by an ex- girlfriend)... Can't even remember which movie it was Now about 2012... Will the world end in 2012? I assume it will not end in 2012, hell I don't even think that our grand grand grand grand grand (multiply by a number you like) children will see the end of the world... And even if this should happen by an unknown event it's in fact no big deal... I'm sorry to say this but every person that was ever born (you, me, everyone) signed their death certificate by being born... One of the certainties in life is dead... Once you are born you will die one way or another and sooner or later. Fortunately most of us will get old and will die after living a nice life. Unfortunately some won't... People are dying by accident, diseases but unfortunately also murder. Lucky for us nobody can predict the future and probably nobody ever will... Life is a gift so everyone should live their life to the fullest. Enjoy every day on this little planet. Make the best of it and have peace... I don't get why people should get upset by "2012"... I heard on the radio this noon that people are getting scarred by the movie and that NASA even had to open a website to tell people that it's only a movie and notting will happen... Quite strange, how could you believe a movie? Even when it's made fantastic like 2012 is? But then again, it's been done before... Back in 1938, more specific on October, 30 an American radiostation, CBS, broadcasted "War of the Worlds", a radio drama composed by Orson Welles. It was pure fiction but it was certainly histories most memorable radio broadcast... After this show people were genuine thinking that there was indeed an invasing and people were terrified as hell... Even 71 years ago people believed fiction... I thought that we were a bit more smart then back in the old days So everyone... Relax... If you like fiction and love special effects... Go see the movie, i'm sure it's a great movie if you like this kind of movies. But think about it, it's all fiction... Quote ...

dj4celine Posted November 18, 2009 at 01:41 PM Posted November 18, 2009 at 01:41 PM I don't get what's so bad about 'The Day After Tomorrow', Charlie It's a fantasy movie but also has a very important issue regarding climate change. Apart from that, the effects looked nice. I don't know about you but I loved it And it had Jake G Coming back to topic, I can't wait to watch 2012 this weekend Quote
Charlie92 Posted November 18, 2009 at 01:46 PM Posted November 18, 2009 at 01:46 PM The Day After Tomorrow had no good effects and the story sucked... it's just a cliché that's getting old but hey it's my opinion Quote

Shaun Posted November 19, 2009 at 09:08 PM Posted November 19, 2009 at 09:08 PM Saw this movie last night and have to say, aside from the special effects (which are jawdropping), I wasn't that impressed. And it's at least an hour too long. After all the special effects are done with you're praying for the end to arrive. Leanne Posted November 22, 2009 at 02:46 PM Posted November 22, 2009 at 02:46 PM (edited) watched it yesterday evening, when I had a date with a boy I met on a datingsite whahahaha. We went to 2012 in the cinema together. Well.. It was.. fun, three hours of the most fantastic special effects I ever saw, but the movie itself is not to fascinating. The boy next to me was more interesting! dj4celine Posted November 22, 2009 at 06:17 PM Posted November 22, 2009 at 06:17 PM Coming back to topic, I may be going to see it this weekend Well tell what you liked?be open minded Just got back from the movies. Wasn't very impressed neither was I disappointed (except for the horrid seats cos we reached late and didn't book it online ) Anyways, here's my mini review SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--The story itself was bland, the screenplay could've defo been better. John Cusack was so so in his role. Felt bad for Gordon. He should have lived The huge Russian was outright funny while Sasha was just hot It seems people liked the portrayal of China in the movie with beautiful shots especially around the mountainous regions. They could have shown more of Shanghai or Beijing being destroyed instead of just concentrating on California most of the time. The guy who played Satnam (don't remember his name) spoke bad Hindi and do Indians always wear Kurta pyjamas... jeez!!! As for the CG, it was good. The VFX weren't as good as I thought it would be but hey, I had very high hopes so someone who didn't think much and just went to watch it must've liked them. The scenes of California being devastated were my ones. The tsunami engulfing the Himalayas were very nicely shot and they were correct when they used it for their promo posters. It was defo the best part of the movie. Loved the sounds used - crisp and with reverbs and bass in the explosions scene. The volcanic eruption in the Yellowstone Park was cool. I wished the crazy guy would have been hit by a flying molten rock instead of the landmass But oh well, his death was nice to watch Overall, I must say I liked it. Yes, the story could have been better with the Mayan theory incorporated more into the screenplay instead of showing more of what was going inside the arks. I'll give it 3.5/5 ( a whole point cos of the California scene ). I'm sure others have diff. opinions than me Quote
Charlie92 Posted December 2, 2009 at 03:55 PM Posted December 2, 2009 at 03:55 PM yes but I do agree on the Hindi part Quote
RLAAMJR. Posted December 7, 2009 at 05:20 AM Posted December 7, 2009 at 05:20 AM i have watched it already and my best part was when they got inside the car and they were looking for the keys and they billioonaire told them to shut up and activated the car. that was pretty hilarious. hahaha. Quote
