Lou555 Posted March 7, 2010 at 10:47 PM Posted March 7, 2010 at 10:47 PM (edited) Céline lived with her mother and father in a house that Céline bought for them when she was around 18 years old in the Laurentides(as many of you already know). She moved when she married René more than 15 years ago. Of course for many years she wasn't home that often. Since that time she has bought her parents this second house(if not their third). Maman Dion has had her own house for years now and one of Céline's older sister and family live upstairs I think. That's what Maman Dion said when her husband Adémard died. I think it's Denise but which one it is exactly I'm not sure. And I think Céline can go to her mother's house by kayak, it's true, this ain't a joke. It wouldn't surprise me that they feed the ducks together as she already told either. I also think her brother Clément has a house on Céline's estate, he takes care of Céline's houses or something. In the 90's, during an interview with Julie Snyder in her old house in Florida, we also learned that Céline had bought a house to her cleaning lady that had been working for them for about three or four years. Céilne's mom and dad use to go to Las Vegas(and Florida before that)spend time from time to time but her father didn't like travelling so much. He had his friends and Maman was working on many things, both of them being very active. So I really think since her father died and her mom is getting older, Céline wants and tries to spend as much time as she can with her(as she is 82 already). So I think Maman Dion spends now three months, some vacation time or one month here and there with her daughter and family. Of course her mom was with them all over the world for her TC Tour, as Céline had ask her to come to share this world tour. I know Maman Dion has work she wants to do with her Foundation also and is doing some kind of a tour of Québec to give conferences to senior people like her. But it's obvious Céline wants so spend as much time as she can with her mom so she invites her always and she has a room in every one of Céline's houses for when she wants to come there. lindsey22 Posted March 7, 2010 at 10:53 PM Posted March 7, 2010 at 10:53 PM i just dont like when people joke about the katrina kayak thing because its a very real solution to rescuing those people at that time instead of leaving them there to die. Quote

If you look at the link I posted before it's what Celine said during her opening speeches throughout the TC tour. I don't think it has anything to do with joking about the Katrina comment whatsoever. It's simply her talking about when she had the idea to ask her mom to join her on the tour and she said that she kayaks over to her house and they feed the ducks together. If you also look at the map and pictures of the houses they literally are right next to each other via the water. Edited March 7, 2010 at 11:00 PM by riobeard11 Quote

It was a cute, and funny thing she said during the tour. I can just imagine her taking a kayak and Nick on a motorboat Quote http://oi52.tinypic.com/2aaavxd.jpg ♥ Thank you, Céline for giving me the greatest birthday I could ask for! ♥

I can PROMISE you that this has been my signature all along and it was made because of what she said at the concerts I attended. It has absolutely nothing to do with the interview regarding Katrina. I would never do that. ANYWAY...does anyone know what it says about this house in the article posted above? Is that another house she owns? Edited March 8, 2010 at 12:39 AM by riobeard11 Quote
