I love the album cover, it doesn't give a damn who it shocks. It's just cheeky, over the top and totally not what you expect of an idol winner. Go Adam!

Also For Your Entertainment as a song is blinding. Time for Miracles is also incredible. Divide and conquer Adam, divide and conquer...

What was up with that? I only saw a couple of his performances on Idol so I'm not really familiar with him, but is he usually that...weird? I kind of felt like I should look away from the Tv, it's like he was purposely trying to offend people with that performance or something!

Well his performarce at the AMA's last night was full of controversy, I like him, but I think he is trying to hard...I dunno...

I DVRed the AMAs, I only saw Kelly perform. But I heard Adam made out with some guy and put some other guys head in his crotch. ABC quickly cut the feed to a commercial. Haven't see it for myself tho.

Adam Lambert's AMA performance: Tongues, leashes and a stumble

Adam Lambert's AMA performance track, "For Your Entertainment," could not have been less ironic. "Oh, do you know what you got into?/Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do?/‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you/I’m here for your entertainment."

Adam Lambert gets friendly with one of his bandmates at the American Music Awards show Sunday night. Rough is one word for it. Dancers in leather harnesses and jackboots. A moment of simulated man-on-man oral sex (the lyrics curiously bleeped out during that moment, although the actual lyrics don't contain any expletives). Fondling of a female dancer's nether regions. Spit-swapping with his keyboardist, gender unclear.

(UPDATED: Male keyboardist, as per Usmagazine.com.)

Oh, and Lambert trips on the elaborate stage set (1:42 minutes in on the above video) but manages to land in the perfect position to leg hump a backup dancer. Bravo.

When Lambert first appeared onstage in a sparkly suit with studded shoulder -- he must have been pissed that Rihanna performed earlier sporting shoulder studs! -- and let loose his trademark wail, we thought to ourselves, Gosh, we missed him. Then we weren't so sure.

I have to say that Adam Lamberts performance was very inappropriate, with all the stuff that went on stage. Other things like kissing his keyboardist on stage and other things. Last Night on the AMAs, I have to say that he just lost a fan and a whole lot more after THAT performance. :nono: :angry2: :nono: :nono: :nono:

oke the 'act' itself wasn't so bad IMO... but I don't think that guy can sing! just cos you can hold notes and not go completly flat, doesn't mean you are a singer -_-

ive watched American Idol last season and i thought he had talent. i was rather shocked when he didnt win. But this guy's been turning me off for weeks with his cockiness !!!! i mean, he's not even there yet but...

forget the over-the-top campy albm cover; forget the screechy wails; forget the Britney Spears/Lady Gaga B-side-tracks kinda music [which is what his albm is ...MY OPINION!!]; forget the Details magazine spreads with him & a naked woman; forget his admittedly controversial drug-drowned and “being a slutbag” [his words] past; forget the rumours about his back-stage diva-isms during the idol tour...

:disgust: his ego's like out of this world [atleast judging from what i've seen]!!!!!

:confused1: i did smell that there's somethin askew about this guy when he first came out with his claws at Clay Aiken ...at that time i thought Clay deserved it!!!

...and then it started getting awkward!!!

here are some of his interview quotes:

"There’s a lot of very interesting fan encounters–very, very overzealous fans, and I love them all. Sometimes, they’re a little sweaty, A little smelly–very touchy-feely. And some of the gifts are interesting. You know, I got, like, an inflatable kangaroo at one point, four feet tall, and I kind of was like, ok, well, thank you, what the…am I going to do with this?"

i hope his "fans" hav proper brains to understand that he's indirectly thrashing them!! :disgust:

I WANNA KNOW HOW U'ALL WOULD REACT IF CELINE MADE A COMMENT LIKE THIS!!!! everyone does get annoyed when someone comes all over us drenched in sweat; who doesnt? but atleast SHUT THE eff UP about it!!

“I have no problem telling people, ‘You know what? I’m not your babysitter, and I’m not your church,’” he says. “They go, ‘Jesus loves you, too.’ One time I just blurted out, ‘I’m Jewish, okay? I don’t need another crucifix!"

good for him!! :glare: :rolleyes1:

in another interview :

“I voted for you!” they [fans] tell him.

“There’s a feeling of entitlement [with the fans] because they voted to get us where we are,” he says, just a trifle irritated. “But you know what? I am responsible for what I created on that show—you voted for what I created, and thank you, but I created it, you didn’t.”

 what a way to appreciate ur fans!! there were plenty of amazing talents who came on American Idol, who all despite giving their best, unfairly went without a trace coz they didnt get enough votes ...and this is what he has to say to his fans!!! :ranting:

by his standards Celine Dion must be clearly dumb, coz she has a knack of overtly thanking her fans wherever she goes

...and then, calling Gene Simmons "Obnoxious, a Hypocrite, and a Dick"??? sure Gene made some comments, i can understand it when people defend themselves, there's a way for it ; noone's asking anyone to be one of those "yes" people; im not a KISS fan either ...but then again C'MOONNN!!!! that much name-calling? :surprise: atleast Gene Simmons had a career thats nearly 30 freakin years!!!!

...now THIS sado-masochistic theme "performance" at the AMAs :disgust: ...simulate oral sex with a back-up dancer [male], plant a kiss on the mouth of a male keyboard player and gesture to the audience with his middle finger during the closing act of the live music awards show.

:pinch: is he confused or what??? isnt this the same dammn guy who recently told Entertainment Weekly in reference to a letter in Out Magazine [First, he tweeted a nasty response to 'Out' editor Aaron]:

"It was my desire to stay away from talking about certain political and civil rights issues because I’m not a politician. I’m an entertainer... in order for us to progress, we need to stop segregating ourselves. A letter like that, that viewpoint — the letter that Aaron wrote is holding us back. Because it’s recognizing the big difference as opposed to letting us all ignore preference and just be people."

contradictory quotes!!! :angry2: he didnt want to be "too gay" then. now he's defending himself pulling the "i was censored bcoz i was gay" card:

"Female performers have been doing this for years -- pushing the envelope about sexuality -- and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out," "If it’s gonna be edited, then in a way that's discrimination. I don't mean to get political, but Madonna, Britney and Christina weren't edited."

Boy please!!! :pinch: They already had a career before they did that stuff!!! atleast Madonna/Britney/Lady Gaga does it with some taste [sort of]

Entertainment Weekly music reporter Michael Slezak wrote that Lambert's first major TV outing since the "American Idol" show "felt less like a genuine expression of his high-octane sexuality...and more like a carefully planned stab at dominating the post-AMA blogosphere/water-cooler discussion."

When you have to resort to "shock", that means only one thing - you suck! ...How typical!! Was there one note in tune??? The song is horrible and there is only one way to disguise it - visual shock!!

Not in a million years am i gonna spend a penny on his albm!! i'd rather maybe even Britney Spears or Lady Gaga ...they maybe slutty/wacky with their image but im sure they're not so much of a ego!!

whether Kriss Allen's albm tanks or not, i now feel like America got it right choosing him as the idol!!! :thumbsup2:

I agree with this post completely. I can't believe he would compare what he did to what Madonna has done. Madonna has always pushed the envelope with sexuality, but NOT at an live awards show. That is NOT the place for sexual things like that, whether it be a man and woman simulating sex on stage, a man and a man simulating it, or a woman and a woman. That whole performance was like some cheap homage to the Erotica era. Awful.

I totally agree with you on that, it was all about Oral Sex, and for him to say that. What a arr agent Batard to say the least, and for him to say that about other artists. I thought Kris Allen looked very nice in his suit. What a talent and Classy guy. Lets hope he respects his fans than that a@@ hole. :nono: :nono: If Celine said that about her fans. All I can say is that there would be allot of angry posts on hear. Also Hell would break lose, Rene would have to talk to her about that.

Finally watched the AMAs. I didn't think there was anything 'inappropriate' with his performance. Not only that, but it wasn't surprising coming from him. I liked the song, and thought the whole performance was cheeky and what I expected from him. I think a Lady Gaga/Adam Lambert concert would be brilliant. They are just as over the top as each other. GLAM GLAM GLAM!

Oh, do you know what you got into?

Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do?

‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you

I don't think that him being gay has anything to do with what was wrong with that performance. I actually didn't care that he kissed a guy...it was the part where he put a guys head in his crotch, and whipping people...that's what was offensive! And it wouldn't matter if a straight guy, or a woman did the same thing- it'd still be inappropriate for an awards show that families watch together!

“I have no problem telling people, ‘You know what? I’m not your babysitter, and I’m not your church,’” he says. “They go, ‘Jesus loves you, too.’ One time I just blurted out, ‘I’m Jewish, okay? I can't think of any religion does, for that matter. So what's his point??

It seems like he needed attention and he surely got it , maybe he's smarter than you think, I Know this is bad advertising but it's still advertising.

Anyway, I feel that whatever it is in today's music industry, it's always about standing out and be different. Personally, all the crotch grabbing and simulated oral sex didnt succeed to made me forget the fact that this song is not good at all. And the voice is not my kind neither.

After I watched the AMA''s I thought to myself: I miss Celine so much!!

im confused who u r pointing ur fingers at.

anyway, my point is, when u r a public figure its imp to maintain ur cool . i know its a turn-off sometimes when Christians preach gospel to those who dont want to listen; but how much does it cost for him refuse something POLITELY!!! that response was rather like saying EFF OFF!! ...to ur fans :o ???

this guy's so rude and arrogant!!! he hasnt even actually made it yet in the business

i never cared about his obvious sexuality while he was on American Idol; if i lived in America i may hav voted for him [i wouldve regretted that]

 Honestly i didnt even know that he was actually assaulting ...i mean, kissing a "guy" ...with that "look" he [the keyboard player] was sporting, i was confused if that was a man or a woman :giggle: !! my problem was the whole cocky in-ur-face attitude he had the whole time with all the oral simulation, crotch grabbing a female backup ...it was like saying EFF YOU! to the audience  ; i mean, what about that finger gesture at the end

i liked the luke-warm response the audience gave him -_-
