eszcd30 Posted June 20, 2011 at 05:05 PM Posted June 20, 2011 at 05:05 PM Oh wow, the phoenix is gorgeous! Thanks! I absolutely ADORE it (which is good cause I'm stuck with it forever ) but I also love that I can show it off when I want and hide it when I feel it's not appropriate. I have an outfit that is low-riding pants and a tight vest that's sort of short and the tattoo just peeks out of it, and I LOVE it for that reason. It's like art. And I get a choice of who sees it and how much of it. Plus I think it's pretty too... Quote http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/7210/celinedion1small.jpg

celinerific Posted January 9, 2012 at 02:43 AM Author Posted January 9, 2012 at 02:43 AM (edited) Got a new tattoo todaayy! It still looks kinda wrinkly because my skin in getting a little dried up lol, but looky looky! Incase some people haven't seen Xena Warrior Princess, it's her two chakrams together - her double chakram is in the middle and it's surrounded by her original chakram. Representing strength and women empowerment... and of course my love for Xena! Woohoo! Terre Posted January 20, 2012 at 08:27 PM Posted January 20, 2012 at 08:27 PM Cool tattoos, everyone! I kinda started wanting a tattoo last year. I was seriously thinking of possibly getting one some day until I recently read an article about the possible health risks related to the tattooing ink. I never thought there would be no risks but after reading the article I was like . I'm also not a great fan of needles so I'm pretty sure I'll never get a tattoo. I still kinda want one, though. I don't think the health risks are very common at all. As long as you follow the after care instructions, you'll be fine! And if you're thinking about getting your first tattoo, get it somewhere that it won't hurt quite as much - perhaps your shoulder, maybe even your upper arm. But if you're really keen on staying away from pain, NEVER EVER get it on the top of your foot lol - it is the WORST. celine-rc Posted January 24, 2012 at 08:51 PM Posted January 24, 2012 at 08:51 PM I am sort of thinking about it. My friends mother is a tattoo artist but I'm not sure yet... Allergic reactions and other problems like that are probably very rare but what worries me the most are the subclinical adverse effects that might occur once the ink enters your body. The article said among other things that nobody can be sure what substances the ink really contains and that some of the components in the ink may end up in your lymph nodes. That doesn't sound very tempting to me. I can imagine how painful it is to have the top of your foot tattooed. Luckily that's not where I'd like to get a tattoo. I might end up walking away with just a tiny dot on my skin anyway. I mean, think about the risks of using your laptop... you can get radiation from the wireless waves, you could possibly get electrocuted by plugging in the charger/adapter, your computer could over heat and explode... lol. They're just chances you take. In the end it's up to you and what you feel is best! I love tattoos. I have 6 now and already planning on a 7th one! I don't want a tattoo so badly that I'd be ready to risk my health for it. I might change my mind, though. I've heard warnings about getting addicted to tattoos: once you get the first one you'll want another one and then another one... celinedionfan1 Posted February 4, 2012 at 04:29 PM Posted February 4, 2012 at 04:29 PM (edited) Yes, it hurt lol. I'm getting another one. If you play the notes, it's plays part of the chorus of "Taking Chances" - my favourite song of ALL TIME.It plays out "what do you say to taking chances?" Woooah! I loooove this one! That's a great Idea, I'd love to get one like this myself! Any of you got a suggestion on what sentence from a Celine song I can tattoo on my foot?
