I was thinking at the back of my neck, but I'd just like to know from people here on where it's the least painful. Still deciding on what I should get. I was thinking of getting the female sign. I know that the place where the skin is very thin or anywhere with a lot of nerve endings will hurt more, for example the buttocks, rib area, inner wrist, or inner upper arm and spine. and also anywhere with close proximity to bone tends to hurt more, examples are the spine, ankle, shoulder blades, etc. When I got my tattoo on my wrist the tattoo artist said that that's the worst place to get the first tattoo...I think he was only trying to get me nervous. My mom was the first one to have it done and she took it on her shoulder blade and my 2 sisters took the tats on their legs. My little sister was in pain but she's like that..hah. it wasn't as bad as I though. Actually the outline felt like a massage as weird as that sounds. I wanted it high but Im happy with it because its not really something people see unless I dont have a shirt on or a T-shirt. Go for it!!! Once you get one you will want more and more. Next im getting one on the side of my chest. Just make sure you love it bc thats it.
