Celine Made Huge Mistake Turned Down Song, Then Band Took It To No. 1

There are a lot of songs I'd love to hear Celine sing...but I never think that she "made a mistake" by turning one or the other down...I mean look at her...does she really NEED them?? Everyone already knows who she is...and would blow their left leg off for her. IMO...hahah.

 

Yeah she obviously did not make any mistake by not taking that song. I CAN picture her singing that song and it being great but I'm not sure if it would have been the hit like it was with Aerosmith. It's the same kind of thing as when they tell you about famous actors that turned down roles in movies that turned out to be hits with someone else. But I always think that maybe those songs or moves would NOT have been a hit with the other person anyway.

 

Anyway I got suckered into the "made a mistake" teaser line like anyone else reading it. It make you have to go to the other link.

I don't like the songs "I don't wanna miss a thing" and the Faith Hill track from Pearl Harbour.

So thank God Céline didn't record those tracks!

 

Because you loved me and Spanish guitar are both great songs.

And Céline and Toni Braxton are both great vocalists.

So I would have been pleased too if Toni or Céline had sung both songs.

 

As for "Heaven's what I feel"... I like Gloria's version, but I'm sure Céline would have done a greater job as she has so much more vocal power!

I've always wondered which version of "Heaven's What I Feel" Céline may or may not have done of. There are multiple versions to the song. English-dance, English-ballad, Spanish-dance, and French-dance. Of course she could have also done a Spanish-ballad or French-ballad version instead. Hmmmmmmmm...

All her live performances of UMH were painful to listen to, to be honest. Her voice on the studio recording rocks though.

 

I would love for it to be Celine' song. 90's Celine would sing the s*** out of that song live on the stage

Celine turned down Un-break My Heart and became biggest hit of Toni Braxton. So they are even.

I watched a documentary about Toni some time ago and L.A. Reid spoke about this song. According to him, Diane Warren offered it to Sony but they turned the song down so then she offered it to Arista. He himself wondered why Sony rejected such a song.
