Un individu de 41 ans a été appréhendé par les policiers, vendredi matin, alors qu’il se trouvait sur la propriété de René Angelil et de Céline Dion, à l’île Gagnon, à Laval.

 

À partir de son véhicule stationné devant la première des deux barrières de sécurité du domaine, l’homme insistait pour parler à la diva via l’intercom. «La sécurité de la maison a téléphoné au 911», indique le sergent François Dumais, du Service de police de Laval.

 

À l’arrivée des patrouilleurs, l’homme avait déjà quitté les lieux. Il est cependant revenu quelques minutes plus tard, pendant que les policiers se trouvaient encore dans le secteur.

 

Toujours au volant de son véhicule, l’homme a profité de l’ouverture de la barrière pour la franchir. «Il s’est alors retrouvé derrière une deuxième barrière de sécurité. Les policiers l’ont intercepté à ce moment. Il a été arrêté pour harcèlement criminel», dit le sergent Dumais.

 

 

Dans un état second

 

Le suspect, qui était dans «un état second» selon la police, a été conduit au quartier de détention du Service de police de Laval. Il sera interrogé par les enquêteurs.

 

Il a été impossible de savoir si Céline Dion et René Angelil se trouvaient à l’intérieur de leur résidence au moment des événements.

 

Selon nos informations, ce n’est pas la première fois que l’individu se présentait au domicile du couple Dion-Angelil.

A 41 years old man was arrested by Police this Friday morning on Céline and René's property in Laval. They don't know if Céline and René were home at that moment. The guy did appear like he wasn't in a normal state "confused" or("dans un état second" in French). He was insisting through the intercom on speaking with the Diva. Security in the home called 911 and Laval Police came. When the police arrive, the man had left. But not long after he came back and got through the first gate that had been opened by Police presence. Police being in the area still, they intercepted him and he was brought to the police station for questionning being held for criminal harassment. According to sources it's seems that it was not the first that this man came to the couple Dion-Angélil's home.

I want to add that there are also some fans on this forum who have gone "canoeing" and "kayaking" around Celine's island... and I'm sure they were tempted to go fence-climbing.

This is creepy.

There's loving Celine, being a fan, even going kayaking near her house because you want to see it- which as far as I know is perfectly legal and doesn't disturb her in any way.

But then then there's trespassing onto private property, and thinking you have the right to just show up at her door and talk to her? That's not right.

Every fan of course wants to say hi to Celine, but it's not right, to go on her property and try to do it. It probably scares the crap out of her, and really what did this man think that she was going to be like...oh sure since you went through that trouble of breaking in, let me sit down and have a chat with you. Hope he stays in police custody until the shows are over at leasat. Someone like this should not be allowed near her concerts. Kayaking, I haven't tried it, probably wouldn't, I would probably even feel uncomfortable waiting outside her hotel that's just me...but that's completely harmless IMO. As long as the people that do do that, don't stop there for like an hour and just stare at the house waiting for her to come out or something lol. Anyways, this is super creepy, hope this guy is behind bars, doubt that he is though.

As I was lying in bed the other night, (I believe early Friday morning shortly after midnight I think) , I was hearing CNNs report about the plane that crashed near Buffalo. I started dreaming about what I was hearing on TV. At one point, I began to dream about Celine and that she was in trouble and I began to feel really nervous. Then I heard the television turn off and I woke up. I know the dreaming was because of what I was hearing but it is weird that this happened not long afterwards . I am glad she is safe and I hope the man gets the help he needs (for both their sakes)
