With so many fans waiting for Celine as she arrives, I hope she stops! It's the last show, she can be as late as she wants Some of us bought their tickets on Nov 19th 2007..a few minutes late won't be a bother!! This is Operation Celine so far. More information as it's being colloborated will be shared in this thread.

 

1:30PM - 4PM Jarod, James and I will be making and decorating posters and a banner roll. We will be doing this at a library at Creighton University. Very close to the Qwest Center If you want to join in let us know! One of us will be able to pick you up at your hotel and help with transportation to Qwest and then back to your hotel.

 

4:45 - ?? Everyone should be at the Qwest Center service entrance ready to welcome Celine.***

 

?? 6:00 - 7:30 To the Hilton Liberty Tavern Lounge (This is inside the Hilton Hotel which is connected to the Qwest Center) for drinks or whatever else you want.

 

SHOWTIME!

 

11PM - 1AM Anyone who wants to continue socializing can meet back at the Hilton Liberty Tavern Lounge.

 

I purposely put large gaps in between things so we don't feel rushed for anything. We still need some ideas of group things we can do during the concert to show Celine our love and the Unison of forum members! Some ideas we have so far: During My Love, we answer the question 'Would you do the same for me' with very loud YES every time!! In Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore we use the lights from our cell phones to wave to light up the arena.

 

Pending ideas that we need more feedback on:

*using confetti, flower petals or balloons during other songs. Which should we do and when?

*Also which songs should we agree on before hand to lead standing ovations.

*Leading the crowd in chanting Celine! Celine towards the end of New Mego's Flamenco.

*Choosing a well known song the crowd can join us in singing to Celine. What song??

*What else??

Those are some GREAT ideas! I especially love the choosing a song so we can all sing to her! I think she should be able to feel relaxed and so welcome on this night since it will be a special one! Can't wait!

You can't let her tour ending get you sad!! Think of all the excitement and anticipation she's given us. All the new friends we've been able to meet, and how many times we've all been lucky throughout this tour. Her taking a break gives us a chance to get that much more excited again, build on our friendships, and make money to see her when she comes back in Vegas (plus all the obvious benefits a break will have for her and Rene). You can pull through, and it'll be that much more wonderful to see her and be reunited when she comes back!!

Hey everyone, so it looks as if Omaha, Nebraska is indeed the final stop on this tour. Being from Omaha, and knowing that there aren't a lot of fans on the forums other than Edwin and myself i was just trying to get an idea of what kind of crowd there will be at this final concert. I was also thinking, that if there are going to be people travelling to Omaha for the final show that perhaps everyone could maybe get together for pre-show dinner or something. I hope that there is a good lively audience for Celine for this final show. It is kind of strange she will be ending her tour in Omaha instead of Montreal, but i think it'll still be a great memorable concert and an amazing night.

Im new here. I will go introduce myself in the welcome thread later today. I found out about this topic from Hazard? Think that is his user name. Or pretty close to that.

im sure im posting this in the correct thread but someone had mentioned contacting the qwest center to see about hanging a banner for Celine to see, and i contacted them and they said that AEG live has strict rules on what can be placed in the arena, just do to the stage set up and lighting rigs and all of that stuff.. so no banner for her to see from the stage but.. we can still greet her with a banner and signs when she arrives!!

At current count we have 18 people (including family/friends) that will be at the show from the forum This doesn't include anyone that hasn't posted in here or the Team Celine fans that James mentioned so it will only get bigger from there.

 

For sure we need to be at the Qwest Center by 4:45 (in case she arrives early). I plan to be there before this, lol. Hopefully we can get the forum banner to use as she enters as well as our own individual banners/posters to welcome Celine.

 

Depending on how much time we have after she arrives and what events transpire afterwards we can get appetizers/drinks in the "Old Market" area at a place called Billy FROGS until showtime.

 

How many people would also be interested in meeting up after the show as well? Also instead of ballons how about if we brought somewhat small flashlights and taped red tissue paper over them to wave during the concert? We could agree to shine them during a certain song.

 

Please feel free to share your ideas, even the jumping out of the bush ones And lastly let us know if you will need transportation to the arena and back.

This trip is going to be so emotional for me! Don't worry...I'm not going to cry the whole entire time...just at the end. Someone better volunteer to hug me for at least an hour after the last song of the show. Just the thought of how much we have all done, and the lengths we have gone to do what we have done! It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. What an amazing group Celine has brought together.

I had a change in plans, rather then driving up I decided to fly since I didn't want drive the 14hrs plus. SOO I wont be able to bring the big roll of paper but if you still want me to i can take a few feet and just fold it up and put it in my suitcase. Just let me know.

okay, so i know its a crazy idea and I know balloons have already been done.. BUTTTT. what if everyone that is coming bought a pack of 100 balloons like britt said and we bought all kinds of different colors and blew them up during MHWGO and through them up in the air at the end.. then everyone could keep popping them up and it would be balloons everywhere.. all different colors .. landing on stage and in the lower levels.. i mean.. thousands!! =) like I'm for real about this! we would have to do some hard core passing out balloons but if you think about it, Chelsea is floor section E, me and britt section N, Elisa and Dodie section W, anyone in Section S? we alone could get a hundered passed out in each of our sections .. and just grab a handfull and give it to the first person at the end of the row and tell them the plan and pass them down and tell them to let everyone know about the plan. It could be larger than life if you can imagine it really being pulled off! The key would be to throw them up in the air and keep popping them up! Then at the end of the show there would be balloons everywhere, a real celebration! The security and clean up crew would hate us but imagine how cool of a visual that would be! feedback?

'operation balloon frenzy' - =) I'm so pumpd about this idea. it will be like the millenium concert when they dropped balloons!!! I mean, i'm willing to go buy 500 because walmart has them for so cheap! We could pass them out at the beginning of the show and put balloons in the empty chairs.. i wish we could get flyers made but that would be ALOOOT of flyers.. but we could tell everyone that its a topsecret plan to suprise Celine with!!! hmm, I am totally up for ANY other ideas.. its just that whatever we do it has to be TONNS of it to make an impact..

i loveee the idea chelsey! we can all just bring packs of balloons, i mean they are pretty cheap, and we just hand out a few packs to every section and just tell them to take one and pass it down!!! We could get a ton passed out! Great ideas everybody! Celine will surely love this!
