Hey, guys!

 

Anyone heard the new album of Toni Braxton "Libra"? Toni's one of my favorites (though Celine is forever #1 for me... ) and though I don't like all of her songs but this new album is really great! "Tripping", "Please", "Midnight"... So many new great and absolutely lovely songs! Well, to be honest there's only one song I don't like at all - Take This Ring. But the rest of the album is cute.

Well, actually yeap, Toni IS singing and I'm surprised you haven't heard her 2000 hits like Spanish Guitar, The Heat and He Wasn't Man Enough for which she recieved a Grammy after all! Haven't you heard it? Un-Break My Heart was almost 10 years ago and to be honest I don't like the song VERY much. That's not bad, that was a huge hit but that's a... Too sweet and too perfect maybe.

Braxton Vegas Show 'Revealed'

Toni Braxton will follow in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Elton John in staging a resident show in Las Vegas. "Toni Braxton: Revealed" will open Aug. 3 at Harrah's Entertainment's Flamingo resort and will run six days each week.

 

Described as "a sexy, entertaining and intimate evening," the show will no doubt tap Braxton's Broadway experience in the musicals "Beauty & the Beast" and "Aida." She will be supported by a live band, backing singers and a cast of dancers.

 

"There is nothing like the thrill of performing nightly to a live audience with fans that have supported me throughout my career," Braxton says in a statement. "I'm looking forward to developing the show for the Flamingo, settling into Las Vegas with my family and bringing 'Revealed' to a whole new crowd."

 

Braxton recently returned to live performing after several years off the road with a spring tour. She was out behind her 2005 Blackground album "Libra," which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200.

 

"She is a vibrant entertainer," adds Flamingo Las Vegas president Don Marrandino.

 

Tickets for the show are priced at $65, $75 and $100 and go on sale today (May 19) via the Flamingo box office at 800-221-7299.

Don't blame the artists alone. It could also be those executives who own stakes in those hotels and want a nice profit.

 

I'm just waiting to see who else wants to jump on the "bandwagon."

Vegas attracts the crowd...no wonder entertainers want to go there. Celine herself 'jumped on the bandwagon'...there were umptene Vegas headliners before she ever showed up.

Celine's show isn't exaclty original now is it...how many artists before her have performed in in Vegas?

 

Although I do agree with others comments that other artists, like Toni, who flock to Vegas are probably not going to have the success Céline's show did (again other that artists like Cher, Madonna, maybe Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Tina Turner...) You need a BIG name to headline in Vegas and I don't think Toni Braxton has it

I´m a fan of Tony´s but not that much into her like i´m into Celine.

The repackage was always in the pipeline now she sang that song with Il Divo...she is another Mariah though (not in singing or appearance) in that she is very popular in the USA, but not really world wide, because she sings RNB.

Oh yeah, Toni's VERY hot. What concerns 'Libra', I think the album is really cool. I'm not fond of r'n'b but I like Toni's music a lot. She's got style and taste in her music IMO. I think that the whole 'Libra' album is nice but my favorite tracks on the album are 'Trippin', 'Suddenly' and 'Stupid'. Hate 'Take This Ring' though.

Are those pictures real? She has the same experssion on every photo.. something that people @ "Top Models" don't like..

Also her lips take half of the space on her head..

I think I read something couple years ago that one her boobs broke and she had to replace the silicon..
