I'm probably in the minority on this but I thought this movie was mediocre at best. I've never read the series but was able to predict the storyline before it was rolled out. The only cool part about this whole movie was the baseball scene. The acting is something I would expect from a high school production, but I guess in the end that's probably the target audience for this motion picture. But that's not really much of an argument because I have been farily entertained with other films targeted for a younger audience (HP, Narnia, etc...) D!

 

You should give the series a try as the books are so much better and I didnt find the series predictable at all.

 

Im so excited for the New moon film, I cant wait!!!!!!!! :D Im getting impatient lol

 

No other series of books has touched me the way that the Twilight Saga has. I guess its just with the way its written that the characters are people we can identify with. We can really feel their love and pain i guess.

 

Anyway I could go on and on about this series. haha let me stop now :laugh:

it was predictable in the sense that Bella would eventually fall for Edward and

marry him AND become a vampire too :P

Well done Frida, I read New moon in Two days thats my record hahaha.

 

I also want to go beyond the fourth book but I would happy if Midnight sun would come out so that we can see Twilight from Edwards perspective :w00t:

I ordered breaking dawn online a few minutes ago, a bit cheaper than buying it in a store, but I doubt it will get here in time = should I do what I did with twilight? cancel the order and go suck it up and purchase it irl? :lol:

Finished eclipse at 3AM, just HAD to get started on breaking dawn so I didn't get much sleep tonight, haha.. chances are I will have finished it by monday night, finished the series in exactly a week.. what will I do when it's all over? *sniff*

 

 

 

Weird question, has anyone lost weight because of the books? (and no, I don't mean cause you can't put then down and go eat). I don't know when I've laughed this much, my stomach muscles have been forced to work double shifts LOL

I laughed at a couple of the things in Eclipse especially when Bella punches Jacob haha.

 

You are so lucky to have that collectors box lol. I really want to get the hardcover versions of the books as my softcover books are starting to come apart from me reading them so much. :D

 

When it was over for me, i just started again with the series haha.

Am I the only one who is seeeeriously disturbed by the whole Jacob imprints on Renesmee-thing? I mean, it's okay now I guess, but when she's grown up?! He was in love with - and KISSED - her mother. And Edward has to hear everything.. That destroyed the book for me.. well I wasn't particularly fond of it.. it lacked almost everything that made me fall for Twilight.. and the whole part 2 from Jacob's POV.. It just seemed sloppy from Stephanie.. and the whole Volturi "threat"? I was expecting some sort of fight, but instead they're like "okay, well I hope we're still friends carlisle :D *and off they go*". Uhm.. I can't picture this book as a movie..

It feels to me like Stephanie only made Jacob imprint on her to have an excuse to have him in Bella's life.. but I'd much rather have Seth impring on Renesmee and Jacob on Leah..


And remember Lizzie in the park? That got to be the most unneccessary character ever right? I expected her to come back somewhere..

yea i like Seth better too. ugh she should've killed off Jacob instead of dragging him through the books. Jacob doesnt seem to fit Reneesme too. werewolf vs half human/half vampire? meh

Haha, exactly "who's Lizzie?". Remember when Edwards first head Renesmee and said something like "he/she absolutely adores you (Bella)". Jacob started shaking and Edward threw him Rosalies car keys and he went to some sort of mall or park and looked at every girl trying to force something, and a girl came up to him to comment on the car? She got 5 lines or so, and then she disappeared..

I can have Jacob (sans the 2nd part, that was painful to live through), but NOT as Bella and Edwards son-in-law :sick: :pinch:

I agree BD was not my favorite of the series.

The whole Renesmee threw me too and then Jacob imprinting on her. I guess it was the best ending that Stephenie felt she could give the characters. I loved the happy ending though when Edward could hear Bella's thoughts

I absolutely LOVE Renesmee, the way she's written makes her adorable in my eyes (and I want a 1 year old baby myself, frozen in that age LOL). And yeah, the last part when Bella shows Edward her thought are one of my favourites :heart:
