I may be in the minority, but I've never particularly liked Love Can Move Mountains in any form (so you can imagine how much I love that she performs it more than just about any song bar MHWGO). And I absolutely cannot stand Just A Little Bit Of Love - a far, far worse song than LCMM.

 

Other than those two, I'm generally all for Céline upping the tempo and getting her groove on. The songs are often enjoyable; it's when she tries to act like an ice-cool dance diva that it doesn't work at all - like when they kept trying to make Misled happen. She just doesn't have the attitude or the credibility to pull it off.

 

I'd also never really consciously noticed until this thread that Céline has songs called Little Bit Of Love and Just A Little Bit Of Love. Love the first one; can't stand the second.

Yeah, having songs with that of titles is tricky. And you didn't even mention "Did You Give Enough Love?" and "Where Is The Love", though not as close of course.

 

Really? I think her LCMM performance on Arsenio is one of the best of her career. In the very early 90s when she stayed true to the album version and gave big vocals, for me it really worked.

 

 

And I love JALBOL...it really fills the dance/house hole in her repetoire. And her high belts just echo so well on that...if anything I wish they had kept that direction and kicked it up a notch on the track.

It's nothing to do with Céline's performance of the songs; I just don't particularly like the songs themselves or the production. LCMM can occasionally provide a passable diversion, but JALBOL is awful on every level. I can't stand house music influences in general, so they certainly don't help its appeal for me.
