I am a lyrics person and I really love the ones of this song... but... It is the living proof that good lyrics don't save a bad song..

I hate the melody and the way it is sung... I just can't listen to it...

Sorry Sebastian, but I agree with Sammy here. When I first heard the album, I didn't like certain songs in the beginning and one of them was Des Millers de Baisers. The melody is just not something I'd hold onto and even though the lyrics are beautiful, I highly doubt the song would be one of those I won't skip while listening to 1Fe4T.

Well I dont even know half of her french songs. I've never heard of this song, ((looks like someone's going to be paying a visit to youtube)). But it couldnt be that bad, could it? Even If I dont like the song, I'll probably end up liking the songs just because of the lyrics.

Actually it's one of the first songs that drew my attention, on this album!! The music is so simple and powerful at the same time, it has a progressive endurance which goes along together with the poetic lyrics! It creates a melancholic emotion, a dull scenery, which i'm really fan of!! Great song, great performers! I wish there's a lot stuff like this on the way!

The music is good, though, you actually get more of what the song is *supposed to be* about from that than from the lyrical blabla

It's a fabulous song! It's a bit melancholic and very poetic and that's what makes it so wonderful! another masterpiece!

In the beginning I found it quite depressing, but after reading the lyrics I understood that it's supposed to be this way because of the profound meaning it has.

wow, I always loved the song but didn't know exactly what it was saying, I just knew what the title meant. When I read the topic title I already knew I would say "it goes higher and higher, it's the original let me be your soldier" but now that would be just stupid! there's no comparison. oh and 1f4t is my fav celine album, on top of both déux and ssda.
