Finally, at my big surprise, my I'm Alive Maurice Joshua Promo was genuine (or official) :mellow: , isn't the quality promo released like 1990-2000 years. After talking with other fans, who had this promo :

Tips to know if it was genuine or not :

- If you put the cover close to light, you can see the title I'm Alive become shiny

- If you slide your finger slowly on the title I'm Alive, on the front cover, the title is slightly crimpy

- The quality of impression of this promo is not like single or other promo published in the past. It was blur, particulary the back

- The cd promo was in jewel case like CD Maxi-Single, but the back and front cover isn't like the singles, it's like a cardbord paper in one piece.

- If you put the CDR on CD or DVD on computer drive, the date of creation must be 1994-12-31 at 19:00 , like all other official release (Album, single..)

Conclusion: the quality of today's singles (either commercial or promos) is awful :innocent: :giggle:

And this doesn't come as late as 2016/17, just remember that Eyes On Me maxi single released commercially in the UK in 2008... :wacko:

The printing quality of the picture... just look at it, and compare it with the photos in the album booklet. It's so badly printed!

I had two questions about Recovering and The Show Must Go On CD Single Promo.

Did these songs are officially released in CD Single Promo? I know that Recovering CD Promo from Brazil were fake. But did he exists authentic releases by Sony for these 2 songs? :hmm:

My copy of Recovering comes from the Netherlands and really seems authentic, particularly as the paper slip has those new differently cut-out edges that seem to come with all the new promos

I always thinked it was a fake CD, for me.. :wacko: :wacko:

I received the Brazilian TC sampler a while back. I noticed that the seller on eBay sold multiple copies of this promo CD, and was slightly worried that it might have been fake. I did some digging today and I found one of Fuzzy's picture from a couple of years back.

The top one is Fuzzy's and the bottom one is mine. On the back of the insert, the Sony BMG logo is different and on the disc, the text on the bottom half is different. I believe I may have picked up a fake. Does anyone have more information about this promo?

The top one is Fuzzy's and the bottom one is mine. On the back of the insert, the Sony BMG logo is different and on the disc, the text on the bottom half is different. I believe I may have picked up a fake. Does anyone have more information about this promo?

It is a CD-R. I checked the date of creation, 12/31/1994 7:00 PM, which seems to be right according to what you posted earlier.

Yeah, it comes with the cover picture, the paper is glossy. The CD-R is a blue color. The Sony BMG logo is the most worrying thing to me. I don't know why mine is missing the rest of the music symbol.

Actually, when the back of the CD is blue, it looks like official. I had a CD-R in my collection, released in 2009 by Sony, I'm Alive (Maurice Joshua), and the back of the CD is also blue. It's sure that the quality of the promo in 2000s are very poor if we compare to the quality of 1990s promo. It's the main reason why I avoid to buy a CD-R on internet, after I buy my Maurice Joshua, because we can't know if it was 100% genuine before we received the CD

Yeah, I bought that I'm Alive promo several years ago too. It's so hard with these CD-R promos and now that's all they put out. Sad times for us collectors. :cry:

on mine which i think in the EU one the discs contain the wrong albums. Im not sure if they were all like that but i was a major f**k up! ha.

a question which might be hard

when i was in my teens i remember seeing a NZ / Australia release of Celine it's a 2 album set with LTAL and SSD which released in 1998 / 1999 and it's called Gold collection or something like that, does anyone has it or got pic of it??

now i regret not getting it back then....

Can you describe the paper insert that comes with the CD-R? Mine is very glossy on the front and is just folded over, no perforation. But there is a line of black dots at the fold.

I'm curious as to why the Sony BMG logo is different and why the bottom text on my CD is not bolded.
