No, actually, there was no official word, but given the details that were shared (I remember seeing a release date for like 1995, or something... yeah, right) I wouldn't ever doubt that Olympia was taped.

I guess it didn't make sense to them to release it, because they had LAP in (pre)production already.

 

Oh well... Sony always with the same stories with Céline releases Live À Paris is a very good concert, but Olympia vocals are better by far than that concert still!

OMG, you made my day with that info! Then, THAT concert HAS TO BE RELEASED someday, and with 5.1 sound at least I can imagine how crazy must be the Oxygene Olympia performance. She surely received an outstanding ovation from the audience with the ending part of the song, when Céline goes crazy with the "donne donne moi, donne donne moi... de l'oxygene"

I guess, they knew in August and earlier that they will be recording the LAP show (which was in October) fro her massively successful D'eux, so they just scrapped it.

Why release two live concerts, when you can release only one and feed on the massive amount of money, which won't come in two different flows... Oh, well... I guess, one day, when she becomes legendary and very much dead at that (no offense intended), they will release such stuff in order to significantly increase their money-flow.

 

By the way, did anybody see that on allmusic it says you can buy from two different sellers... So, who'll try to get the Olympia Tristar VCD, please?

It is. I would say it worths no less than 30 euros at least . Its as rare as the L'amour existe encore 12" or J'Attendais (well I think that's even rarer because it was promotional)

I have a lot of things, but I dont want them to get damaged. At the moment they are in my spare room but Im thinking of getting a large storage unit with a lid on so they dont get damaged. How do you keep your Celine collections in pristine condition?

I bought this and they arrived today. I thought they were singles but they're promos! Were they ever released as singles or is the collectors guide wrong?

 

Anyway they arrived today. The stink and the cases are really dirty!

I'll have to get new cases!

 

In the meantime, to get rid of this old cigarette smell, I've put 1 insert in my TC giftbox and one in my D'elles giftbox (both nice smelling items!)

 

 

And i've given the seller bad feedback for saying they were in excellent condition and for not saying they were promo!

 

Does anyone else have these? I think the only difference is the little sticker, if they were released as singles...

they're not promos - they may have a promo sticker on them but they are still the single releases. They will have just stuck a sticker on them.

I keep mine all in poly sleeves and they're all in about 8 or 9 plastic container boxes at the moment....each holds about 20 cds perfectly. I have all my singles, then all the albums, then the card sleeve issues which is now over flowing haha. Some of my things are sealed - But the ones i really wanna listen to recently ive just started opening...i find they dont seem real untill uve seen inside - its like u still havn't got them ha. I do play the cds - but i do usually stick the cds i uses alot into random cd cases so i dont keep going in the original album cases too much (its an effort gtting the box out....taking it out of the poly...etc ha!)

 

I used to be reallllly really almost OCD with my celine collection (i thank myself now coz i have great condition cds) ha...but i wouldnt even touch the covers...the casees.....they had to be completely scratchless etc haha perfect! It was a nightmare going to buy them in shops - id pick up 10s of cds to find the perfect one haha. eeek! Im better now tho. haha

I've binned the cases, put the discs in poly sleeves, and left the inserts out to air to get rid of the old smell! And i've ordered 2 new cases for them!

 

Oh well something this was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm just annoyed cos this is my first ever used item I've bought!

hahhaa oh no! well usually - they don't stink of smoke - you'll get more familiar with picking out the good cds from bad the more ya do it probs. My Unioson programme smelt of smoke a bit when i 1st got it - hoepfully i'll fade haha!

 

p.s Zoea - yeh just whack everything in plastic storage boxes - i do - haha. different shapes and sizes for different items. how fun! ha

no i put the cds (cd in case) in poly sleeves....but sometimes with the cds i use alot i put the cds in empty cd cases so i can them quicker.

Wow that's very organised! I've just got all my singles and albums on a shelf at the moment, but I might start putting singles in boxes once it overflows. I don't think I'll go as far as putting them in sleeves...

 

BTW that eBay seller is getting really evil with me now I've complained to him - eek!
