I watched the TC Special last night on A&E Latinamerica, and I got very dissapointed, It was boring and Celine's attitude was just common, she looked like tired (I only loved the Eagles song and the prayer)... And the lipsynch was awfully made....

 

I ran away and started watching the "All the way CBS Special", and even when most of the songs were lipsynched too I founded it good enogh to make me run and buy the album and I fell in love with that old Celine again... I guess it helped her soooo much to increase album sales, and I think the TAST Special too...

 

Was there any kind of special to release FiY or LTAL ????

 

Please think about : The Best show (most entertainig), good songs (well performed or lipsynched), great audience (Completely Involved in the show), great production (right guests, best scene, best surprises), and the effect of the Special on album sales....

 

What do you think, which one is the best ???

I need someone to loves m like Celine loved René... And just like she sang in LTAL track # 16, I ask for that exact same thing

Theres all something i don't like in those special.. I guess it's the lypsinc and Celine is not always so confortable..

But i'm voting All the way, i really like that period, the LCMM outside, TTWII with N'Sync..

I voted for A New Day Has Come. It had a great mixture of ballads and uptempo numbers.

 

P.S.: You forgot to include A New Day...Live In Las Veags.

Nothing beats the ANDHC special for me. Her duet(s) with Destiny's Child was amazing!

well if your talking about tele specials then surely the an audience with celine dion should be on there from the uk?!? yeah it was awful but still a tele special

i love the 1f4t special from las vegas. to be honest i dont care too much about the lipsynching - we know she does it but we also know how amazingly she can sing live! i dont really know why i love that one above the others!

I voted for All The Way. She was just gleaming with beauty on that night and was clearly the most popular artist in the world at the time. I thought the song list was great and it was just an overall classy evening. Sometimes I think if she had never left she would still be on top right now.

I've been reading all the posts though... hehe... well, in regards of the question... the ANDHC special is by far the best... great comeback, great music, great guests (her duet with destiny's child was AMAZING!)m and her voice was flawless... besides it's gotta be the only special in which she sang ALMOST the complete show LIVE... hehe... second place, I must say, goes to the ATW special, just because I loved her energy and the LCMM outside Radio City...

None of the mentioned ones compares even in the SLIGHTEST WAY POSSIBLE to the rawness and sincerity of the Spectacle En Coulissess from 1988. She had the power to literally move mountains there. Every song was on point. Nothing like any other special that followed it. It almost seems as if she then took her vocal power for granted ever since then.

I voted for.... A New Day Has Come [CBS]

 

The emotion that filled The Kodak Center that evening was so magical, that it came through to our living rooms. Her voice was flawless that evening. It truly makes me feel grateful that she had taken her break, came back with such a wonderful ease to her voice and shared it with the rest of us. If only she rested her voice/herself a little more these days, alas, family life + a world tour has taken the best of her.

 

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the soundtrack compilation, and still to this day, think of that as one of her most shining moments as far as live performances go. I wish she would do something similar to those over lip-synched greatest hits that she's been pluggin' away with since the 90's. I think it was also one of the best, most under-rated performances of MHWGO.

My place for 2nd would have been the ATW special. She looked flawless and put on a fantastic show for all those lucky folks at Radio City Music Hall. Her rendition of Gloria's "He We Are", was phenomenal.
