The DVD sales for Celine's highly acclaimed 'Céline sur les Plaines' concert event have been through the roof across Quebec since November 11, placing it at the top of the Music DVD Sales chart in Quebec according to Nielsen Soundscan!! With over 32 000 copies sold in Quebec in its first week, the DVD has the highest entry sales numbers for all DVD's in Canada for 2008!! Congratulations Celine!

It also looks like this album is going to sell more in the UK than "Taking Chances" Oh and another thing the album is not even in the itunes top 100 and is still top 20 in the UK.

im so happy that Celine is doing so well in the UK - it makes me proud to be a British fan

even though people (well most of the people that i know) dont like her or slag her off, its fabulous to see that she still has so many fans in the UK - rock on!! long may it continue!

"My Love" has been an undoubted success story in the UK doing something that Sony haven't managed to do with a Celine Dion album since " A New Day Has Come" - sell consistenly!

 

Looking at the other "big" artists who have releases out at the moment that I looked at last week:

 

- Dido down to #28 after 3 weeks

- Beyonce down to #23 after 3 weeks

- Nickelback down to #36 after 3 weeks

- Christina Aguilera down to #51 after 4 weeks

- Mariah down to #66 after 7 weeks

 

Yet Celine is holding strongly at #14 after 6 weeks, an incredible result!

Excellent News another week of these sales we should hit the 300,000 mark , making it Platinum on sales not just Shipments. Give it another few weeks and it will be a bigger seller than taking chances

wow...i'm really surprised because i thought this was just a "hey let's throw this album out there right before the holidays and so we can have a Celine album out in 2008".
