I think the reason is that they will not continue the contract in Vegas , that she wants to live in Paris, wants to enjoy the world with her family and maybe wants to spend precious time with Rene since he is getting older and older. Maybe Paris is kind of a way to retire in some way, or to be in Europe because she loves Europe a lot and from there on she can easily start a tour and sleep in Paris in her own home?

Are those rumors of making Maria Callas movie really serious? I cannot see even in that case she will buy a house in Paris - Callas was in Rome, Milano, Venice...not just Paris.

 

Other than that, waste of money on property taxes especially that she will not live there unless she moves to Paris to do Vegas type of "elegant" shows/concerts. However, I think it is expensive to live there probably - she loves her Florida home looks like.

Ok since there isn't a topic about all her houses, I bumped this one up.

I saw this article by the French Gala, stating Céline has sold her house (mansion/castle) in Paris. Interestingly it does mention she bought a house there in 2008, but after René's death she decided to sell it (for 14,9 million compared to the 9 million she paid). I do wonder if she ever used that house! Maybe she was there a couple of times and we never found out about it?

But a few years ago, Celine stayed in a superb property located in the heart of the equally prestigious Villa Montmorency, in the 16th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Bois de Boulogne. This exclusive neighborhood, inaccessible to ordinary people, is very popular with celebrities who can enjoy relative tranquility there. Until 2017, Céline was indeed the proud owner of a private mansion acquired in 2008 with her husband, René Angélil. But shortly after his death, she decided to sell it. In 2023, it was still listed for sale at the attractive price of €14.9 million—compared to €9 million when she bought it—and it appears to have found a buyer very recently. The listing has since disappeared from the website where it was advertised. Entre Céline Dion et la France, ça a toujours été une grande histoire d'amour. Quand la chanteuse québécoise pose ses valises à Paris, elle choisit toujours un très chic hôtel de la Ville Lumière. Mais il y a quelques années de cela, c'est dans une superbe propriété, située au cœur de la non moins prestigieuse Villa Montmorency, dans le 16ᵉ arrondissement, à deux pas du bois de Boulogne, que Céline séjournait. Ce quartier, exclusif et inaccessible aux communs des mortels, est très prisé des célébrités qui peuvent y profiter d'une relative quiétude.

D'une surface de 632 m², l'ancienne résidence de Céline Dion dispose de 15 pièces - dont cinq chambres et cinq salles de bains, tout ça sur cinq étages dont deux en sous-sol (pas de panique, l'ascenseur est compris). D'après Closer, au rez-de-chaussée se trouvent un double séjour, une cheminée de plain-pied sur terrasse, une bibliothèque, une cuisine totalement équipée, une salle à manger sous verrière.

Les trois étages se partagent cinq suites avec salle de bains, dressing et bureau. Un véritable petit coin de paradis...

Le portefeuille immobilier de Céline Dion se réduit comme une peau de chagrin

Même si Céline Dion s'est séparée de cette impressionnante demeure, l'interprète de Pour que tu m'aimes encore garde une place toute particulière pour Paris dans son cœur. La capitale française a toujours été un théâtre majeur de sa carrière, elle y a donné des concerts mythiques, elle y a fait des passages remarqués à la télévision (dès ses débuts !), et vécu des moments d'émotion partagés avec ses fans francophones. Même si elle ne possède plus de pied-à-terre dans la capitale, la star québécoise ne manque jamais une occasion d'y revenir, fidèle à son attachement indéfectible à la culture et à l'élégance françaises. Paris sera-t-elle aussi la ville de son grand retour sur scène ?

Si Céline Dion a cédé cet hôtel particulier, ce n'est pas non plus le seul bien immobilier dont elle s'est séparée. En 2016, elle a vendu son manoir situé sur l'île Gagnon, à Laval (au Canada). En  2017, elle a cédé pour 38,5 millions de dollars sa somptueuse villa de Jupiter Island, en Floride, un paradis pour milliardaires. L'endroit était digne d'un parc aquatique ! En 2023, c'est sa maison de Las Vegas qui a changé de propriétaire, moyennant un joli chèque de 30 millions de dollars. Mais elle en a une autre, plus modeste, où elle résiderait.
