I wonder why she needs a cottage with all the houses they own. She spends so little time at any of the houses, it's almost like going to the cottage anyway... I guess I know what's the point of buying so many properties ... To confuse us with where she will reside when she's off the work... I suggest her to hire a double for each ''house'' she owns. Then we will have Celine No.1, Celine No.2, Celine No.3,.....Which one is real??? Quote

Bralo20 Posted October 14, 2008 at 12:18 PM Posted October 14, 2008 at 12:18 PM So her first contract in Vegas was for $100 million and now she went and blew almost three-quarters of that earning on a home that costs $65 million?! She's not lying when she says she works hard for the money. It takes so long to make it but so little time to spend it. Since she's bought a house there does this mean she'll no longer stay George V when she's in town? I don't think that will sit well with the French fans. She will probably have some very good financial staff arround her to make sure that her money grows... Yes, even in the days that the financial markets are crashing...If you buy the right stocks you can make a decent amount of money And also the prices of real estates will not drop to hard in the future. Celine's earnings in Vegas were $100 million for the first three years, and between $100 to $200 million for the two additional years. This is not including some extra earnings from the ticket sales, revenues from the Celine Dion Store, and revenues from PURE. From an estimation stand-point, Celine easily could have made $300 million just from Vegas alone. And don't forget that this World Tour has been very lucrative as well, and the sales of over 250 million perfumes! And that $65 million home will someday be worth $100 million, easily, because it is in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Europe. Edited October 14, 2008 at 03:12 PM by Love, Quote

Scarlett Posted October 15, 2008 at 05:09 AM Posted October 15, 2008 at 05:09 AM Do we even know for sure if that's the actual price of the place in Paris? And, has it even been confirmed that she actually bought it? Could be a rumor... $65 million seems incredibly high compared to other homes listed inside those gates. Quote

MTJ Posted October 29, 2008 at 04:02 AM Posted October 29, 2008 at 04:02 AM I remember seeing a picture of a house she owned in Switzerland, too. And when did she buy the jet, I had no idea. I didn't understand why she didn't have one, so I'm glad to see she does. Anyway, as said before, real estate is one of the only assets that will always increase (as the population increases land becomes more valuable). It doesn't surprise me that a good manager like Rene would know how to invest properly. She must have more property than the queen now! Quote
