World Tour Video

I hope it's ok that I repost this topic here as well...

 

Would anyone be interested in creating a video for Céline, her band, dancers, crew, etc.? My idea is to have pictures of everyone from all of the countries and cities she visited, whether it be you at the show, sightseeing, or meeting other fans... This would be photos of YOU, not of the show itself.

 

Would anyone be willing to help with this? Take part in this? I would want it to be a group project, with all of your input and ideas, it would be from all of us.

 

I'm mentioning it now, because many of you didn't hear about the birthday video in time earlier this year - I want everyone to have time to take part and to have plenty of time to get it together so I can be sure to include everyone this time who wants to take part.

 

This would not only be for Céline, but everyone involved with the tour. They all do such an amazing job & I for one would like to thank them for some incredible shows.

 

I, in no way want to step on anyone's toes. I know there are a couple of world tour book projects going on. I just thought a video would be neat as well, since the birthday video went over so well and a lot of you told me you didn't get a chance to be in it.

 

This is all in the beginning stages... right now I need ideas & support. This video is not possible without you, and I just think it would be a nice way to say thank you.

If you don't have actual pictures of you before/after the show or in the city you saw the show in --- I think it would be alright to just have a nice picture of yourself, and we could include the city you saw her in. Sound good?

I will be going to Celine's Taking Chances World Tour November 21st and I think I can take a picture of me outside the arena before I go in if they don't allow pictures taken inside. Getting excited as this will be my first Celine concert.

First of all, I want all of your ideas and suggestions -- this is to be from all of us. I will do my best to incorporate all of your ideas!

 

This is what I have so far…

 

The video will be in order of the countries and cities that they visited. I hope to have pictures from each country or city, and that may be a challenge. We’ll do our best. It will be fast paced, entertaining… and will be like a video scrapbook of the tour. The concept is to show everyone involved with the tour that we had an awesome time! So be creative.

 

I’ve been offered help from so many of you, and I appreciate it so much. Trust me, I will take you up on it! Erika (celinerific) has kindly agreed to help me with editing photos! And Thomas has given me permission to use his HQ photos - which will be awesome! Thanks, guys!

 

I would like to stay away from using pictures or videos taken during the show. Honestly, I don’t think they would mind… but I would rather have pictures of you, your friends, meeting with fans, etc. If you have photos of you during the show, with the stage in the background (I’ve seen a lot of those!) that would be fine. If you have sightseeing pictures, that would be wonderful - or a picture of the venue the show took place in. If you took photos with Céline, her musicians, dancers, etc. - those would be great to include.

 

I’m open to you sending me as many photos, ideas, etc. that you wish. I cannot promise everything will be included, but I will do my best. I would prefer all photos be in the highest quality possible. If you have quotes (and by quotes I mean 5-10 words) directed towards how you liked the show, Céline, the musicians, a certain song they performed -- I will do my best to include them.

 

Again, if you saw the show and did not take any photos you can still be included. Take a picture of yourself with your world tour t-shirt on, with your program, with your tickets - again, get creative!

 

My hope is to have it finished by late January/early February so they get a chance to see it before the end of the tour.

 

What I need from you now:

 

Spread the word. Get everyone involved, and ask them to start getting their pictures ready. If you can speak multiple languages, post in the other sections of this forum about this project so they can be involved as well.

 

Song ideas. What do you have in mind? We can use Céline songs if you want (I Drove All Night, Taking Chances, A World to Believe In…) but really any song that you can think of that would be appropriate, please post it and we’ll decide as a group. Obviously, I won’t need to know this for a while… but start brainstorming!

 

I will let you know when and where I am ready to start receiving your information.

how about at the end you use My love. and turn the lyrics over and make it from us to Celine- so that way she is seeing how appreciated she is even through the sacrificing and hardship shes gone through.. Its such an emotional song and it meant so much to her, we can give good memories for it and really wrap it all together (can you tell I LOVE doing montage videos - =) if you like this idea and need help flipping the song somehow, I can figure it out.

We've cried with her, lived with her, and grown with her and that song is just as special to all of us as it is to her =)

ahh. another idea.. I made a video one time for a traveling/performing group I was in.. and i had some of the members record their voices talking about the season and I have a program on my computer that I could overlap the voice messages into the music and it was adorable! maybe something like this could work too

Using "My Love" sounds like a great idea, if everyone agrees -- I'd thought about the words too, how they have meaning from us to her as well.

Obviously, I won’t get started for a while, until I have a better idea of how many of you I will need to accommodate. Those of you who saw her early on in the tour (South Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe) I would greatly appreciate if you would send me your information as soon as possible, as you will be the photos I will begin with! (I will set deadlines eventually, once I get started.)

 

When you send your email please:

 

- Type in the subject the city and date you saw the show in.

- Send a separate email for each show/city you wish to be included for.

- Send all of your photos, quotes, etc. for each show in a one email.

- Again, photos must be of you, your friends, meeting with fans, meeting with Céline, her cast & crew, sightseeing, etc.

- You do not have to include any quotes, that is optional. (We’ll see if I can make it work.)

 

Also, don’t forget to include your name, and what city/country you traveled from to see her.

 

Feel free, if you have not already, to include any ideas or suggestions you have in the email if you have not already posted here or messaged me in private. If you have a special idea you’d like me to use with your photo… please ask me, I will do my best!

 

And keep brainstorming -- get creative!

It’s hard to believe that it has been a year since the completion of our Taking Chances World Tour video, created to thank Céline and her amazing team who made the tour possible!
