I'm still in school. I'm focusing a lot of music. I'm currently taking three seperate music classes: Strings, Vocal, and MIDI. Strings and vocal are pretty hard core with music theory and techniques with regards to the violin and the voice. MIDI is amazingly fun for me and it lets me to play around with recording studio equipment :cheer: I'd love to go into either Music and Technology or Graphics and Digital Media Design at Centennial College, so I cross my fingers that I can get into some sort of program that I'm interested in. :)

Other than that... My current job is hostess with the mostest! :P In other words, I work part-time as a hostess at a rotisseri and grill restaurant called Swiss Chalet. :)

I'm still in High School...but I work a drive thru at Skyline Chili. For all of you non-Ohioans, that's a unique restaurant that was first opened in Cincinnati, Ohio. I live not even 20 minuets from Cincy ((w/o traffic)) and one of it's franchises is near where I live. They are mostly regional franchises.

Sooo if any of you guys ever visit Cincinnati, Ohio you CANNOT LEAVE until you've had our original Chili and Coneys!! :msn-wink: :blushing1: :P And ofcourse that's not all that they offer, we have a wide variety of things.

Is there one near Cedar Point?

It kind of sounds like Sonic, that we have here...but it's like a 50's themed drive in diner but they have coneys and chili and stuff like that...malts and shakes...etc...

This is a great topic! I love to hear what people are doing. I have a bachelors degree in political science (minor in social psychology) which I've really never put to use! I'm one of those people that has never had a clear vision of what I wanted to do. I've worked in a variety of different fields. My first "real" job was working for this big company that made the space suits and other equipment that NASA uses so that was cool. I've also worked in the insurance industry processing medical claims. Awhile ago I started getting into computers and got an MCSE certification (sort of like what Koolan was talking about) although it's currently expired! :msn-tongue: So that got me into the world of computers even though I'm not really a computer geek. Currently I work for this ginormous computer company (90,000 employees worldwide)and support various contracts.

So for now at least, that's what I do.

I'm a university student at the moment, I should be graduating somewhere around 2011 I hope.. But I've taken a lot of time off, so we'll see if I make it in 3 years. But I study French as a major and will perhaps end up as a French teacher. Or something else related to speaking French and other languages/international affairs.

I would also like to propose another question about your professions. What ever your professions are, do you feel you're in the right job/do you like what you're doing, or would you rather be doing something else? What's your dream job in other words. ^_^ (Though some of you maybe answered to this already.)

I always dream about having a farm somewhere in the countryside, raising horses and maybe some other animals. I guess that is what I would really like to do if I could do whatever I wanted.

I'd like to travel the world with the Peace Corps or teach someplace where schools/teachers are needed. I'd like to own a restaurant that onlys serves organic food! :D

Haha anyways...

Wake up everybody no more sleeping in bed

No more backward thinking time for thinking ahead

The world has changed so very much

From what it used to be

There is so much hatred war and poverty

Wake up all the teachers time to teach a new way

Maybe then they'll listen to what you have to say

Cause they're the ones who's coming up and the world is in their hands

When you teach the children teach them the best you can.

The world won't get no better if we just let it be

The world won't get no better we gotta change it

So make a change www.thehungersite.com

Neat topic. I often wondered what everyone does other than spend a lot of time on the Celine forum.

I have my BS in Zoology and my MS in Biology and I am on the faculty at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center (the new vernacular for Medical School). I work in a department that does research on adult bone marrow stem cells (not embryonic). I am in charge of a grant that distributes our stem cells all over the world for other researchers. I have been working in medical research for over 30 years. Gosh, I'm OLD!!

What I would really LOVE to do is get into computer graphics, along with digital photography. Since joining this forum, I have discovered I have a real love for digital imaging, specially making sigs, avies and walls with Celine.

Very interesting topic :)

I got my Bachelors degree (Licenciatura) in International Business 2 years ago.

I started working for a smart cards company (simcards for cellphones, for your credit card, IDs, etc) in the international logistics department. So I was dealing with airlines and customs agents most of the time... it was related to my field of study but really not my passion in life so then after 1 year I quit my job and went to work to Orlando Florida in Walt Disney World Resort (college program) which was absolutely the most amazing experience ever  I do have a passion for entertainment, music, and all that has to do with making people happy in general.

Sadly, the Disney program lasted only 6 months. So I came back to Mexico again and found a job doing again international logistics in Continental (tires, car company).

Like Laura I would love some day to work for Celine  Yes it would be my ultimate goal. When I was in college they often asked us what would be your dream job, I can't think of any other place I would be 10000000% happy with my job other than working with Celine. Altough Disney was fantastic too! Maybe working for Sony or some company that organizes concerts for international artist. I have to improve my French so someday I can have a job interview at Feeling Productions :msn-tongue:

An angel was looking through,

It was you,

Yeah you...it's

Aw, takeachance, I think that's the just about nicest thing anybody has ever said to me. I just recently got into computer graphics, thanks to Celine being my muse. I have done a lot of work with Photoshop for my real job (pictures for publications, grants and protocol, etc.) but that's all scientific stuff and not nearly as interesting as Celine to work on.

I really appreciate your words of support. Since my job may be ending at the end of this year, I would much prefer to get a job with computer graphics or digital imaging and photography (I take a TON of pictures). But with no real "working" experience in the field, that may be difficult. Anyone on the forum looking for someone to work on graphics? If so, I would definitely be interested.

Thank you again. You made my day.

Heh I feel a little out of the loop here with all the arts/humanities careers/majors! :D

I'm going to graduate with a bse in Mechanical Engineering next year, and am currently applying for grad school in bioengineering. My career path is ideally going to go down the line of researching and developing biomedical devices. :D

and as for how much i like what i'm doing -- i absolutely love it, there's nothing like breaking things apart with your bare hands, creating objects from the nothingness.. me have power. !! :D

I'll be 19 in a few months. I've been playing music since I'm like 4 years old, but I've never had any lessons... I'm self-taught. And I'm studying/working in the sound technique environment since I'm 13 years old. I always knew what I wanted to do in life, and here I am. But I knew when writing this that a lot of people wouldn't believe me. -_-
