She's been neglected by the Grammys since ANDHC (and that album had a lot of quality material). I'm asking my professor who is a member of the Academy about how the voting works, etc. Hopefully that will give us some insight as to whether or not she'll even be nominated. All I have to say is it's better that we don't get our hopes up. It seems like everyone these days is turning their cheek when it comes to Celine. Just pray that she wins something. Think about it: if she wins, she'll see that it's still worth it to keep going and do what she's doing (since it seems like after this tour she's saying bye bye, for a little while at least ). As much as she says it doesn't matter, what artist doesn't want to win a Grammy? It must hurt like hell to be nominated and not win. It's music's highest honor and a validation of your hard work. I'm praying she gets something for Taking Chances. For herself, she really went out on a limb for this album and deserves some recognition. Quote

I'm sure there are many albums by several other artists out there that will deserve the 2008 Grammy for album of the year more than "Taking Chances..." among other potential awards.
