Hey everyone!

 

I can so relate to this topic. It has been my dream to meet Celine too. I have come close a few times, but it hasn't happened...............yet. Cellbie, and everyone here who dreams of meeting Celine, we all have to believe in THE POWER OF THE DREAM!!!!! I have a friend that worked at Celine's show in Vegas, and she had the great privilege to meet Celine several times. I have a beautiful picture of them together. My friend Dorothy was very well known, not only by Celine, but by most of Celine's family. She is 84 years young (and still working at the Colosseum)!!

 

Chellbie, I will be at the Atlanta show!! I want to do something special and memorable for Celine at the show since she has not been to Atlanta since she sang at the 1996 Olympics. Celine didn't come to Atlanta during the LETS TALK ABOUT LOVE TOUR, so this will be her first time back in 12 years. There is a topic about this at the January 17th Phillips Arena show, check it out when you get a chance. It would be great to meet up with you, and hopefully we will both see each other realize OUR dream!!!

 

Celine has gotten me through some difficult times, especially when I lost my Mother and best friend to cancer in 1998. I just want to tell her face to face what she and her music mean to me.

Thank you! Haha - I was actually more calm that I usually am, believe it or not! It was so surreal to be seeing Céline on Oprah LIVE!

I think you're the first person to notice that! I did it on purpose. I set each entry date to the date of the event (or one of them) and then the time to 5:55pm. I'm so glad you noticed!!

Indeed, I have just discovered them and am thoroughly enjoying them. ANd as for this line, "Then the familiar “My Heart Will Go On” began, I have come to truly dislike this song, because of the new meaning behind it." in one of your reviews -- I COMPLETELY AGREE. like, that is my sentiment COMPLETELY. it's a STUPID song. And to this day, I just CANnot listen to "What a Wonderful World". I actually leave the room when it plays. whether she or anyone else is singing it.. because it tarnishes that faultless memory of the last song I heard her sing.. for the very first time.

 

Lol we are getting really mushy and emotional about all this meeting Celine and loving Celine bizness aren't we!! ^_^ I gotta be honest after not meeting her the first time in Vegas when I waited hours outside her garage.. I was like. okay! that was fun, dreaming about that for forever, but i don't think it happens as often as i'd like to think it does. But my dreams are totally getting rejuvenated now.

Isn't it so true?! It's almost as if I thought, "If she doesn't sing this song than she can stay forever!" Ha. "A New Day Has Come" (the slow version) always makes me so emotional!!!!! I always remember it as the first song I hear when I'm thinking, "It's really her!"

 

Always keep dreaming... it does happen. After a staff member friend of mine couldn't make it happen, to freezing completely when she was right in front of me... I thought it just wasn't meant to be. But the truth was, it wasn't meant to be, then. I was never a patient person, lol.

Yes, I still keep in contact with Dorothy. I spoke with her a few weeks ago. She is doing well, and still working at any and all shows that are at the Colosseum. She misses Celine being there, and misses all of Celine's fans too! Thanks for asking about her. I will tell her you did next time I talk to her Dorothy wanted so much to be able to wish Celine a Happy 40th, but with Celine not being in Vegas anymore she had no way too, so when she found out she was in the video she was thrilled!!

Yes, she was able to see the birthday video! A link to it was sent to a contact in the office at the Colosseum,

and they showed it to her. She LOVED it!!
