Celine talks about "Nothing Broken But My Heart" on the "In Conversation" interview CD which is an interview that took place right as "Nothing Broken But My Heart" came out as a single. I don't remember exactly what she said, but she told the story about what the song meant to her and how she interpreted it..... I'll try and find the CD and type what she said about the song.

I love those songs! I guess I would understand if she doesn't remember them- she recorded a lot of songs, and these ones happened a long time ago. She hasn't sung them for years. And she probably doesn't listen to her own music- we do, so we hear these songs all the time!

I Think those songs are powerful,but I think celine maybe don't remember them,or maybe she do remember cos she shoot video for these two songs,

I think if she remembers them she would love NBBMH and she would think WFTM is heart breaking.

It's kind of a shame that Unison and Celine Dion have sort of been forgotten. There are some real gems on those albums. I guess when you have such a huge number of songs in your repertoire, you have to get very selective about what you perform. It would really be amazing to hear some of those early songs performed live now, though.

Those are beautiful songs and it is a shame they are forgotten just like the fabulous album they are on. I am also curious what Celine thinks about them! She probably has not forgotten those gems, hopefully! And I wish she would perform them someday...

Some time ago, I was watching the clips from the concert she gave in Zurich. She told the audience about the German songs she recorded. But, she said that she was about 14 years old when she recorded them. That cannot be because that would mean 1982. Then she recorded "D'amour ou d'amitié" and "Mon ami m'a quittée" in French. And in 1988, she won the Concours d'Eurovision. I'm not quite sure but it must have been in 1988 when she recorded them to promote her in Germany and Switzerland. That would be reasonable. However, I understand if she cannot remember the exact age or the year. That happens to us as well. And for her with her big career and all these dates, awards, CDs, songs, concerts, interviews and so on, she would be a genius to remember everything.

 

Anyway, you're absolutely right, it would be great to hear her sing some of her "old" songs from the "Unison" or "Celine Dion" album or more from "The Colour Of My Love". I love "Water From The Moon", it is a very powerful song. I prefer it to many songs she sings again and again.

speaking of The Colour of My Love, it really puzzles me why the lyrics printed on the cd booklet are longer than the song itself? there are a couple of lines unsung...
