I was practicing french in a verb workbook I got...and in a true or false section one question was:

 

Vrai ou Faux, Celine Dion ne chante pas bien.

Obviously...we know the correct answer.

 

haha. celine was in my french textbook as well. There was a picture of her with the caption: "C'est celine dion. Elle est chanteuse."

You have to be careful with the tenses, they are very very different form the english. Wit

h a good dictionary you won't have problems.

But they are very similar with spanish tensesAnd don't forget the collocations.

 

I'm still looking for a good book, that teach me collocations en french!!

I took French in high school to try to understand Celine's French songs.

Listening to them a lot and reading the lyrics really helped me tp pronounce everything much easier and I got A+ on my first few assignments! I do have some disabilities, so I only got through the first course. I know small sentences and words, but still I can't have a conversation

and I sometimes pronounce the ending of words that you don't pronounce like words with ent

wrong. I have a French Prase book that has full sentences and the Larousse French/English dictionary. I don't have a good memory for certain things either. I try hard though and for being in some special ed classes and band as well as choir I amazed a lot of teachers and myself for being able to even make good grades and not drop out of those classes, and I'm a horrible note reader and playing rhythms on my flute.

 

I would love to know how to type accents onto my words as needed. Can somebody help me with that

Kay, I think I understand what you mean to say. What you want to say is : You want to listen to me speak french. You remember that when we were on Skype and I was talking to my dad, you loved hearing us.

 

In french, you could say: Je voudrais t'écouter parler français ! Je me souviens que lorsque nous étions sur Skype, tu parlais à ton père. J'adorais vous écoutez.

Yes. You make it seem so easy! I can read French so much better than I can type/write it. Probably because when reading, the root of the word is there and you can figure out the tenses from there
